  1. Since all of you know about the application process, I figured you could answer my question! If I want to apply to both the Dallas and Houston campus do I just fill out a nursing app on the pioneer portal for one of them, enter my credit card info, then fill out a separate nursing app for the other? Thanks!
  2. Hello everyone! I'm an undergrad student at Texas A&M University and am about to apply to nursing school. We had a meeting for future nurses with nurses and nursing students and got to ask them about their experiences. As a student feeling slightly discouraged about the admissions process and the difficulty of nursing school, I think it's good to hear about the favorite part of your job/nursing school, your favorite area to specialize in (NICU/ER/med surg), and anything else that you think has made this experience rewarding. I know it's not all puppies and rainbows and that I'm in for a difficult journey, but I'm so interested in knowing some of your experiences! Thanks:)
  3. Hey guys, I couldn't think of a short title for this that would adequately describe what I'm asking, so here goes! Basically, I'm a senior at Texas A&M University and will apply to several nursing schools in the spring. I'm considering both BSN and ADN programs, but what I've been reading about some ADN programs makes me worry a little. Many of these seem to be points-based programs based on GPA and entrance exam scores. I took most of my classes here at A&M and definitely don't have a 4.0, but will probably end up around a 3.2. Do schools look at where you took your classes/prereqs? I'm not saying a community college is easy, i took my share of difficult classes at Blinn, but i believe it may have been a slightly easier option if I had taken a lighter course load of only prereqs for nursing at a community or junior college. Does anyone know of any schools who will look at where you took your prereqs and take that into account? Any advice? Thanks!
  4. Hi everyone, I'm new to this board and interested in CCCC! But I'm a little worried after reading some posts. I'm currently a student at Texas A&M University and have taken all the prereqs required by CCCC here in College Station. It's no walk in the park and I definitely don't have a 4.0 GPA overall. For the prereqs I have B's in A&P 1 and 2, and expecting A's in micro and statistics. I realize they have a point system, but does anyone know if they consider where you took your classes? I'm not saying community college isn't hard, I've taken my share of difficult classes at Blinn, but I'm worried about having a little above a 3.2 at A&M. Anyone have any advice?
