I am anursing student participating in a group project researching how nursing staff/health care professionals deal with the loss of a patient. Are there any rituals/acts you participate in as a unit or individually to acknowledge the death of a pt.? How does participating in a ritual/act help you cope with the death of a pt. more easily? I am a nursing student participating in a project about pt death. Just wondering if anyone has 'rituals' on their unit for dealing with the death of a patient. Are there things you do as a unit or individually to commemorate a patient's life? Are there things you or your coworkers do to cope with patient deaths? Any input would be great. Thanks! Alissa

i'm sure it depends on the program you are applying to, but i am a nursing student in a bsn program and i had c's in a couple of my science courses. i did well in my other classes and i was accepted. you'll do fine if being a nurse is what you wnat to do. hard work is the key to success! i have maintained an a average in nursing school, i think the prereq's are soemtiems harder than the actually nursing courses. i'm confident that i will graduate and pass the nclex (hopefully the first time around!) good luck!
