"The test is a judgement and safety test. NCLEX want you to be able to use good judgement to keep the patient safe. It to keep them alive. Thats the attitude i had when i choose my answers. I KNOW GOD WORKS MIRACLES Because he certainly gave me one. He alleviated my anxiety and gave me peace when i was taking the test."I too gra was so sure of failure that i actually could have checked my test results about 5 days sooner than I did. I usually cannot wait on anything....so to wait for test results this important was very weird to me. But i figured out why I was able to wait so long, because it was a way to avoid dealing with the feelings of failing and the physical and emotional issues that come from that. Anyhow to my surprise I passed! NOW...MY WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT to those who have not tested yet: I did NOT STUDY for the NCLEX...and yes I passed the 1st time! I believe this is because I owe this to my school and instructors1st of all and secondly to myself. My school has one of the highest by far...ratio of students that pass the NCLEX their 1st time. I knew this when I decided to enroll in the program. I knew of schoola that were easier on you and so called "nicer" instructors, but thats not what I thought would help. I seen that my school did not have the highest ratio of Nurse graduates, but graduates that pass the NCLEX. SO, in closing, I believe what my instructors told the class, you can do all the review you want before the NCLEX, but if you didn't learn enough...or the main concepts (like common sense in nursing and patient safety is 1st, the abc's, and most important)...not to overthink questions (as many of the questions have several right answers, its about choosing the best answer in that particular situation) "if you didnt successfully learn these concepts, last minute studying isn't going to do it for you. So for anyone struggling, i would say work on those things rather than individual questions and answers and you will do great. If you don't pass the 1st time, don't beat yourself up...some people just arent good test takera. Pick yourself up and try again, next time you probably wont have as much anxiety of the unknow getting in the way. Good luck and blessings to all.
