  1. My biggest thing is being happy! I would really like to work in an ICU. I've applied for jobs at Grapevine, Plano, Denton, and Dallas.
  2. Hello, I am moving to Dallas in August and was wondering if you liked the job at Baylor? Any info is appreciated as far as culture, pay, relocation packages, and negotiating!
  3. Hello! So far I have been with a preceptor for a month and I love it so far. Still so much to learn going from adult orthopedic world to pediatric icu. It should be an easier transition for you though.
  4. Thank you! I did orthopedics for a year and then I tried the OR and quickly figured out that is not for me. Then I figured out that critical care would probably be a good fit for me and I always had an interest in peds.
  5. Hello all, I just got hired at CHOA in the PICU, this will be my first time in an ICU setting and first time in peds! I am extremely excited but would like some advice from the ICU and PEDS perspective! Thanks!

  8. I am about to finish my first class it is going okay so far. I have just moved to GA so it has more of a burden lol. It it is going good I believe. What program did you pick education or leadership?
  9. Sure you can keep in touch with me. I looked and I saw they had the MSN at least back in 2014 I had a few TAs from their RN to BSN program who went through it. I live in Tallahassee currently but will be moving to Atlanta later this year.
  10. I start in a month with my first class. I am not sure how new it is I think that they just made changes to the structure.
  11. Hello all! Is anyone going to UWF MSN in leadership starting this semester! Especially anyone in the Atlanta area. Just wanted to form contacts.
  12. So if i was to leave the state i should look in the specialty im already familiar with?
  13. I am interested in maybe getting into part time clinical instructing to see if i do enjoy it mangement does not appeal to me as much.
  14. I am definitely interested in the OR it wasn't offered for new grads where I live.
  15. Hello All! I am a new RN and I know that in probably about two years I will be moving from the state i am in to another location. My first job is in ortho now my question is when I move if I want to try something new is it easy to try something new in this day and time or is it impossible to switch specialties.
  16. Hello All! I am a new RN and I am about to start my RN-BSN program. Even though I have been doing a lot of research about different long term career fields in nursing I wanted to know what is the best overall job. There are so many options such as practitioner, educator, nurse manager, informatics... Thanks All!
  17. Hello, I am doing my second interview for a nurse residency program next week which is a panel interview with several nurse managers. I know that it will have scenarios and I was wondering how to prepare or for any examples of scenario questions.

  23. Hello, I will be starting nursing school in jan and I was wondering about two main things. The first is specialty, how do you specialize is it that you try to find an opening in a certain field or that I would have to go to another program? My second thing is experience, I have look at hospitals just to see what they look for on their job openings for nurse and almost all of them say experience, as I will be a new nurse how would I get that experience. Thanks In Advance!
