  1. sorry if i may be going off topic.. I was googling accredited schools in las vegas, and just found roseman. I was wondering how Roseman's class and teachers are? I've heard stories about Nevada State, UNLV, CSN. Usually CSN comes out on top, only draw back that people worry about is that it is ADN and not BSN. Roseman is BSN, and am curious how well the program is? Thank you.
  2. Thank you for the votes even though it is just 2 so far lol:lol2: I have talked with the counselor, and have decided to finish my senior classes now this coming fall. So I will graduate by Spring of 2013. UNLV ain't taking no more of my monayyyy after that. ' Darn those parking tickets!
  3. I am giong to speak to the counselor later this week at the UNLV about my current undergraduate degree in nutrition. I'm actually debating on switching to UNLV nursing from my current degree. My other option is to finish my current degree and then go to CSN for an associates in nursing. However, I for one don't really care for the ADN vs BSN deal. I've read on this board it is almost irrelevant as far as job responsibility and getting hired on the west coast to be a NURSE (I want to work in the ER). Therefore, I really want to get into CSN associates rather than UNLV BSN because of Tuition cost. In 2012 UNLV is doing this new tuition thing where it is more expensive than before. In addition parking sucks and all student have to pay for it. CSN is MUCH closer to my house, and parking is FREE as it should be. I was wondering if this is a bad plan? I want to finish my undergraduate degree because I like it, not because I have to have a job in it. Given if i need a plan C i can go for the Regisered Dietition program later on if i want to (given a few years time before I can't no more). What i really want to do is work in the ER.
  4. I was talking with a student at the university today, and she was mentioning how UNLV tuition is very high now for Nursing. I don't know, as I haven't done the research, but I asked her why she didn't consider going to CSN to get an Associates degree. Some people in the group mentioned that in 2014/2015 Bachelors degree is going to be preferred in healthcare setting? I dont' know about that one, but please discuss so I can learn more
  5. Thank you so much for the information breakdown. Looks like I am still somewhat under qualify....I just need to take a communications class and i'm at 26points.
  6. Hi, I am new here. My name is Michael. I am a student at UNLV and was planning on going to PA school. In fact that is still in the plan, however the RN program really interested me. I know they are 2 different fields. I'm looking at CSN program mainly because UNLV program i don't qualify for (i took certain classes more than 2 times). I was wondering if anybody knows what the Pre reqs are for the 2012-2013 year? I will be checking out the Seminar meeting in December at CSN that is mandatory. I also saw a form that says healthcare experience (from an employer). I don't have current health care experience other than the butt loads of hours i have in the Level 1 Trauma care/ER that I have shadowing and assisting a Physician's Assistant.
