Hi Apple, My best advice would be to get ahead in your classes by getting the syllabus or welcome letters from your professors from each class and starting on the reading material and taking notes ASAP. This goes ESPECIALLY for fundamentals. The earlier you get your fundies book and start reading, the better. It's the one thing I wish I had done before classes started! As for papers, there's virtually none until the last few weeks of NURS320 (Research) which is a group paper.

Hi everyone! Congrats to those joining us in the BSN program next fall at UMSON Shady Grove (and also to those of you who got into Baltimore as well!) I'm finishing up my first semester next week and let me tell you, you guys are in for quite the ride! You should be proud of yourselves for getting into this awesome program! If you're looking to buy textbooks, I just posted both Pathopharm books on amazon.com. You WILL need to buy these books for this class (you can't pass Professor McLeskey's weekly reading quizzes without 'em)! Lehne's Phathopharmacology for Nursing Care just came out with a new, 8th edition, but it is highly unlikely that there will be much difference between them (except that the 8th edition is over $100!) It isn't required but I recommend it if you learn best by following set steps! Hey AprilAnney, I got in! Thanks for your message, it was so sweet. Havent gotten an actual acceptance letter, but my online app status changed last Thursday, the 17th. So excited to be in the Shady Grove mix! For anyone looking for financial aid - I definitely submitted a FAFSA but havent gotten any word on awards, etc. I checked my status on SURFS and it says there isnt any info on me yet. Anyone know when that should be available after acceptance? Thanks! - A
