  1. Hey Buckeye- I've been meaning to get on here to get back to you. So, yes similar to the first interview, and with the same two people yours was with- just behavioral questions, relocation, the program, etc. It seemed rushed, about 20 min. It was difficult to gauge how they responded to me over the phone. I hope not being in person doesn't affect their decision. They said the same to me about letting me know by the end of this week or even mid next week. They said they are doing interviews all week, I wonder how many people total are being considered? I wanted to know by now, since I am going to start at a senior care center and was hoping to know for sure by now...oh well. Wish us both the best! I'll let you know when I hear anything.
  2. Good luck to you too!! We can compare notes after:)
  3. Oh how cool, I am from the Bay Area. So that would be very cool if we both got hired. I wonder since she told you she was trying to get more positions if that is why this is taking longer. Thanks for the heads up- I think we just have to remember its like another interview so treat it like its the first one. So did you say that you're having the interview with the CNS over the phone or in person??
  4. HI CaliBecca- have you heard anything back from the UD? You interviewed for SM UCLA correct?
  5. Hi Buckeye Nurse- Yeah, I'm a bit thrown at this point since I wasn't expecting it to go on like this. I am curious- since I thought the UD had the ultimate say in this. Also, are you going in person for the interview with the CNS? I am from Northern Cal and I was going to fly, but she said the phone would be fine. I think mine will be on Monday as well, since she did not call me yesterday. I don't know what else to expect either, but I will definitely let you know how it goes if I am before you and please let me know how it goes for you! Good luck to us!
  6. Hey Buckeye- Has she called you yet? I have another interview, but with their CNS. I don't really understand this whole process since I didn't think it would go for another round. The UD said she's made her decision and I will likely be with them (as she said). I was going to book a flight, but she said I could just do this over the phone. She confirmed that I had my license. My phone interview could be today or Monday since the interviewer won't be in until then. Any news on your end? Sorry I didn't get a chance to ask if she would be calling other people since she scheduled for another interview and it didn't come up.
  7. Hi CaliBecca- yes I have my license already, I got it in July. Not sure if that is at all the selection criteria for the unit. It does seems a lot of people that are getting hired at UCLA are still in school and going to take the NCLEX before the start dates of the programs. So I don't know what they are looking at to make the decisions. Did you interview for this unit as well?
  8. Hey Buckeye Nurse- she did not call me back yet:( Still waiting...I may call her at the end of the day if I don't hear back. I'll keep you posted!
  9. I think that if you're having doubts, just call! The anxiety is overwhelming and its pretty much been three weeks for most people since their interviews. I just called the UD I interviewed with, she said she was in a meeting and will call me back later today, she asked again if I had my license already and that she will get back to me for sure in a bit. Don't know what that means, but at least I'll find out something later today. Good luck to everyone, this has been a tough month!
  10. I only interviewed for the oncology unit. I think it will start anywhere between Feb-Mar. So there will be some time to make the move to socal. That is weird that she said that, how long have you had your license for? I'm just wondering if it has anything to do with your experience. Thanks for sharing by the way, its nice to talk to someone about all this!
  11. This was for UCLA SM Oncology right? I'm just wondering because I interviewed for that unit as well. I am really anxious about hearing back. Did the UD say anything else about the position? Do you remember how many she planned on hiring? I wish we just knew already. Congrats to you though, its semi-official:)
  12. buckeye nurse- did you say that when they called you, you were already chosen and they will give you details next week?
  13. Hi bukeye nurse- I've been waiting for someone to reply that interviewed for UCLA SM Oncology! I haven't heard anything yet. Last I tried to contact HR and they directed me to the UD. I figured I'd wait it out a few more days since three weeks is this coming Tuesday. I'm happy you found out that information though. I am super nervous about hearing back! Do you know how many people applied? It looked like 10-15, but I wasn't sure...with 3 positions open, right? Good luck to the both of us! I am assuming we had the same interviewer. I felt that my interview went really well, but who knows. I hope they call earlier in the week than later if the decisions have already been made.
  14. Anyone hear from Oncology at SM UCLA yet? Its going to be three weeks this coming Tuesday, I hope we hear soon! This waiting game is killing me!
  15. I interviewed on the 15th for Oncology at UCLA SM. It seems like those that got offered the positions interviewed the week prior. Did you guys just wait it out, or call a week after to follow-up? I sent out the thank you letters/emails immediately after my interview. Just wondering if anyone has advice as to what they did to follow-up. Also, if anyone has received offers for any of Med-Surg/step downs. Thanks.
