need advice RE: disclosing board monitoring
Hey HOOPSCHICK,I just came across your first letter. It almost made me shed a few tears:scrying: . I to am trying to find a job after being clean for two years. I am almost wanting to give up but I need the money and I love nursing. If you read this could you please email me back with any suggestions you have, after being hired. I bet that felt so good. Rude and crude RN
Thunderwolf, Before going to nursing school seven years ago, I worked in construction (building new homes, decks, fences, and odd's and end's). That kinda conversation was tolerated by very few of the "guys" on work crews. This guy needs to be taken aside the next time he makes a sexual assault comment and told that you do not like ANYTHING he has to say about the opposite sex. Usually when person's of any age or any profession, talk about the opposite sex in a gross negative way it just show's their immaturity, or unfullfilled (or perverted) sexual life. I say confront him. Don't worry about hurting his feeling's, he obviously dosen't care about yours. And distants your self from him.

Looking For Work
Fellow nurses, I need some help and I hope some one can show me the path. Two and a half years ago I lost first my youngest brother, then two months later I lost my Dad. I was working nights and felt if I kept working it would help me get through. Well, needless to say I had some opiates (oxycodone) that I was using for a broken elbow (this happened at work, our floor was putting carpet in and I slipped in the glue for the carpet no signs were posted and down I went). I was UA'd because of my odd behaviour, and here I am two and a half years later. I went through a program, still go to a meeting once a week and now I am ready for work. I have put out a few applications, but I am scared:uhoh21: :imbar . Does any one have any thoughts, advice, concerns---------any thing to get pass this.
