I got my call this morning, I'm in! Good Luck to all.

I know there is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better right now but I'm sorry.

I was called at 9:55 this morning. I didn't ask how many spaces were available or anything like that - I'm so sorry. I could barely think straight as she was talking to me - I was crying and jumping up and down at the same time. Really, my prayers are that all of us alternates will get in - I think we want it even more now! Good Luck to all.

I have 27 points but I'm not convinced anyone is "definitely in". I'm very hopeful and scared to be very hopeful - hope that makes sense! I just wish that when we are told something, it would really be the case. The # of alternates, the date we would find out, etc. Anyway, yesterday when I spoke with ------ I pointed out that the first vaccine clinics are next Monday and Tuesday and she said that "no, we wouldn't be able to participate in those" because we won't know in time. Just one more example of being told one thing at orientation and now being told something completely different. This is so frustrating, I will just keep my fingers and toes crossed and say many, many prayers that somehow we all will get in!!! :redpinkhe:yeah:

When I accepted the packet, I was told only 25 full time alternates also. --- said today that 33 were at the orientation (not sure how that is possible) and that only 26 would be picked. I'm so confused! I'm hoping that ----- had the numbers wrong. :confused:

I spoke with -------- too. I am a full time alternate and when I picked up the alternate packet on Oct. 24th I specifically asked how many alternates there were for full time and I was told 25. However, --- said today that 33 ft alternates showed up to the orientation and that they will be accepting 26. So... 7 will not be getting in . Anyway, good luck to all of the alternates full or part time! This next week is going to be a killer (stress wise).

What number did you call? Just curious so I can call myself. I don't understand how they can say they messed up - I was told that we would be called be the Tuesday after the orientation when I picked up my alternate packet on Oct. 24th. They said Monday or Tuesday at the orientation more than once!
