  1. I interviewed for this position yesterday. It was a group interview and they told us they would call us on Monday if we were selected. Only 5 interviewed and we all work for Kaiser already.
  2. i know this is a little late. they do accept applications year round. i really wouldnt take the ACLS till the 3rd or 4th semester. you definitely wont need it til 4th, plus you'll probably forget most of the content. do take all the general ed and transfer classes you can. you wanna be able to focus on the nursing classes.
  3. it took 2 semesters for me to get into the LVN to RN bridge program. I think it was supposed to be a longer wait, but not many people passed the TEAS test and everyone on the waitlist who passed got in.
  4. I think they accepted 60 students for the program this time around.
  5. When I submitted my application and I knew they processed it, I just e-mailed the Associate Dean and asked. She told me right away. As far as a letter/email, don't count on it; It will never come. The only time you get a letter is when you qualify to take the teas test or they offer you a spot in the program. Be proactive and ask. It is very important that you also notify them of any changes in address. When they do finally mail you anything, it will most likely have a deadline and they make no exceptions.
  6. Please don't go there. I know from personal experience.aside from that, you will learn all that in nursing school. trust me, nursing is so much more than cna work.
  7. Call Sixcess (661) 951-0444. They are located off Ave K and 17th W. Tell them you need the 10 panel plus Alcohol for AVC nursing and they will know exactly what you're talking about. They were $20 less than everywhere else I called.
  8. lol. they are! and to top it off, the shipping charge is outrageous. start buying your books. i bought all my books from amazon and saved half of what i would have spent at the bookstore. congratulations!
  9. i think you're right, i'm pretty sure it's because we start sooner. the drug test took 2 days. i spoke with the secretary and she said they won't be open tomorrow. they're off the rest of the week.
  10. i received it last week. it's has the paperwork they distributed during the information session, plus information on uniform ordering, self study orientation package for the hospital sites, and book info. if you turned in the paper work they handed out during the info session, make sure it has been approved by the secretary and that you have been given permission to enroll in the bridge class. Maybe they have the wrong address for you. i would call them and find out though. Monitron4, the bridge program is a program for LVNs who wish to become RNs. we skip a year, and enter directly to the second year.
  11. Catsolares, are you in the generic program or the bridge? i'm in the bridge program, and i got my packet last week. i turned everything in already and am going to register online today. i'm so excited.
  12. hey mayelvn, i'll be joining you in the transition class in january too. the schedule does look intense. i already ordered the books from on-line and save lots. as for your questions, i would start by calling the list of companies av recommended. i did my at sixcess and it was very reasonably priced for the 10 panel and alcohol. you should call them and ask if you can do the alcohol alone. i'm going to turn in all my documents tomorrow so i can register for class.
