  1. I dont have an answer to your question but was wondering which school you are attending?
  2. I spoke with the nursing councilor at my community college. There are more issues with my transcripts too. I have a withdraw in Micro from way back and she said that will negatively effect me with their point system. Each school that Ive looked at has some sort of point system and although I've done the classes I needed to do I don't add up to enough points to stand out in a selection process. She basically said it didn't look good for me and that out of 200 applicants I likely wouldn't be one of the 30 selected and that I would fall in the pile of random selection applicants. She talked about the advanced placement as an LVN. It appeared my chances would be better that way. I also liked to idea of getting my LVN and working for awhile before applying for RN school.
  3. Hey everyone. I'm considering starting the LVN program at PMCI in Westlake Village this coming January. I have until December 16th to decide. By chance, is there anyone else starting there at the same time? I've taken all my prereqs for the RN program but after speaking with a councilor am concerned that my less than A average will hurt me. This way I was told I will complete the LVN program in June 2013 and upon passing the NCLEX I can apply for the RN program, bypass the wait list and enter as advanced placement. Has anyone done this strategy or considered it?
