Wow, I have read so many discouraging comments about getting an RN job in Oahu. Husband is military and we are moving to Oahu in May, 2012. I have 11 years experience as an LPN. Just got my RN license in September. By May, that's 7 months experience as an RN. I work in a prison here in AZ though. I don't know if that's enough experience to work at Tripler. Maybe not, from what I have read so far. I am beginning to think that I should stay in AZ and work longer. Any advice?

I am moving to Oahu next May and I am getting really depressed reading about new grad RNs' difficulty finding jobs. I will have 8 months experience as RN, but I work in a prison. I have been an LPN for 11 years prior. Husband is military, so I don't even know of I can use spousal preferance to work at Tripler. Anybody got any advice?
