  1. Hi Matthew! Thank you for the update and information!
  2. Has anyone heard from them in regards to checking up on references? I had my interview yesterday, and they said they would be sending the reference e-mail sometime today. They will be making their final decisions by early next week (Monday). The wait is killing me! Please someone, respond!
  3. I'm sorry you did not get the RR PICU position, I've been hearing and have been told, "if it's meant to be, it'll be" (I just wish it'll be, right NOW). I'm sure you'll have more opportunities coming your way soon enough. I'm still anxiously waiting for any kind of response. After reading someone's post last night about their two friends getting the PICU position, I lost all hope. But now I'm confused and I really don't know what to think or feel now since I read your post and I have yet to hear anything from them?? Any response would be good, I just want relief from this agonizing waiting game, I'm losing sleep over this! Good luck to you and to the rest of us! Congrats to those who already have been offered positions!
  4. Thank you for letting me know! I just had my first interview yesterday for the PICU, and you're right, it is for RR. I just did not get the chance to ask them how many they are hiring. When I saw you're post about getting hired, my heart dropped a bit because I thought they had already made their final decisions! Anyway, thanks again and a BIG CONGRATS to you!
  5. SNjacks- Congrats to you! Did you have a second interview? And do you happen to know how many they are hiring on the PICU? I would appreciate any info! Thanks!
  6. I'm interviewing for the Ronald Reagan PICU, and the interview will be on Nov 29th. My apologies, I should've clarified on my previous posting "any PICU people who have already interviewed could offer any advice/tips?" Thanks!
  7. I got a call yesterday for my first interview for the PICU (my 3rd choice) on the 29th. Any PICU people have any advice, tips? (How many they are hiring, share your experience) Any help would be very appreciated. THANK YOU!
  8. I'm going for NICU too, no word yet!
  9. Anyone for NICU get a call yet? Any response/further info would be much appreciated!
  10. Thanks for the encouragement Zippy7! YES, good luck to us all!
  11. I went through two interviews, the TalentPlus interview...back in March, they called us and asked us all those personality questions and a one-on-one interview with the unit manager. It took them three weeks after the personal interview to send me a "we're moving forward with other applicants" e-mail. You're correct, based on the units and demand the numbers will differ. Last spring, they were looking to hire about 10 people for the PICU. I'm not sure about the numbers this time around. The process has definitely changed because the TalentPlus survey was online, which was much more convenient!
  12. If they applied to Peds/PICU/NICU, in that order, they most likely will interview for the first choice. (But don't quote me, UCLA may have changed their process from the last cohort; I applied last spring to the PICU as my first choice, got an interview but did not make it to the panel interview). I changed my first choice to NICU this time after precepting there. (The unit, NOT at UCLA). Hoping for the best!
  13. I applied to NICU/Peds/PICU. I haven't been called either. My phone has not left my side for the past week! IF I ever receive a call, I will definitely let you guys know. Good luck everyone!
