  1. Which accelerated program did you attend? Not necessarily the school but what type of program. Drexel's ACE program What prerequisites were required for your program? They were pretty similar to other nursing programs. I did have to take ethics, nutrition, and communications. What is your overall feelings towards your nursing education in an accelerated program? It was definitely a challenge but I'm glad I did it. Do you feel like you were prepared adequately? I would say that I was very well prepared to take and pass the NCLEX. I also feel prepared to be a safe nurse. Nursing school and working as a nurse are two completely different things. I know that when I start my job at the end of the year I'll probably feel like I don't know anything. How long did your program take? 11 months Do you think you got a good return on your investment? Yes Would you advise others to pursue an accelerated degree? I don't think it's for everyone. You need a lot of support from family and friends during the program. You literally have to make school your life. If you had it to do it all over again would you obtain your degree the same way? Why/Why not? I would do it over again because the year went by a lot quicker than I thought and even though it was very challenging I feel well prepared.
  2. Hi everyone! I just went through a really tough year in an accelerated BSN program but I made it through and passed the NCLEX a couple weeks ago! I was lucky enough to be offered a position on an ortho floor and am really excited/nervous about starting. Good luck to everyone. The market is tough but it seems to be getting better.
