  1. I wouldn't risk an audit. They look at what the average rn makes in that area. Not worth that. And why work for that pay rate. Never heard that low before. Be careful
  2. I start as an ER nurse as a traveler on Dec 20, 2012 at rogue valley. You are welcome to contact me after that
  3. Recognize the make all traveler's take the PBDS test. You fail; you have no job. It is a joke. I refuse to work anywhere that retarded traveler-weedout test is required.

I've used airbnb. I've rented from a single woman (disaster) and taken their stipends and their housing. Mostly I check VRBO® is Vacation Rentals By Owner. Vacation rentals all over the world. I've loved them. I'm currently in Alaska with a 2 bedroom town home with a car rental included. As travel nurses, always contact them and explain your situation and negotiate. They are always nice and fully furnished with lots of pictures and descriptions. And I travel alone, so it's been a sweet deal.
  5. If you find your own housing, then they will knock it down to like $25/hr. Then you need to know how much per week they will give for the housing stipend and how much weekly for Meals and Incidentals. That changes per area. Then do the math and see if it is worth it to you. Remember also, if you work extra, it is at that $25/hr rate. Or you take their highest offer of $ per hour and let them find housing. It is up to you, whichever is more convenient. At the lower rate you have tax free income. In the end it is the same, just depends on whether you want the government to see you made $50,000 or $100,00 (for example).
