  1. After the online application process where both the resume and references are uploaded, do not snail mail the reference page. After all, the employer has this info. So then...why send the resume? Isn't that uploaded as well? Next Q, that would make it #4. Should I use the standard #10 envelope and fold the letter or the catalog envelope and my letter not folded? I would have 6 pages: cover letter, resume, copy of license & cpr card, 3 letters of recommendation. With the State, I would have about 6 more pages. My guess, even with the 6 pages, is the catalog envelope. I'm also thinking of packets made up when I visit the hospital/facility and not folded would be a better presentation. I'm in CA.
  2. Looking for my first RN employment and would appreciate your help. 1. resume paper? Should I use the regular white printer paper for my resume or should I invest in those fancy resume paper? If resume paper, which do you use? 2. references "available upon request"? I would think that references completes my resume. I see some of the online application process asks for profession and personal references. So why would I not include it when I snail mail my resume? 3. clinical rotations. Got the answer to this one in another thread. I should not include my academic clinical rotations. I am sure I will have more. Thanks very much for your assistance.
  3. Take some time away from the Qs. Exercise increases blood circulation throughout the body including to the brain. Kaplan Qs are harder than the exam Qs.
  4. Can a RN work as CNA or LPN in California? I thought I could not.
  5. AmsPRN, please email me asimolotu at gmail dot com. Just found out about NSH. Can you share the process?
  6. Wanted to update. Took the RN exam on Monday. Did the pvt trick 30 minutes after the exam (that's how long it took me to get home) to see that I got the good pop up. Today, Thursday, my name is listed in the CA BRN. I am jsqu, RN.
  7. Took the exam today and was advised about the trick. Got the new good pop up. Relieved and waiting for the official word.
