Planning a pregnancy - advice re NCLEX, jobs, etc?
Take it from me...being pregnant and in nursing school don't mix. I was on the waiting list and i figure I would not get into that year so i decided to get pregnant with my second child that way she would be six months pregnant when i reapplied the next year. my first was 3 at this time. It took two weeks for me to get pregnant and a week later I was accepted in. The first semester was pure hell with being fatigue and the morning sickness during clinical I barley made it out with a c but i was miserable. Second semester was even worse because i was uncomfortable for 3 hour lectures and standing on my swollen feet. I had her on a wednesday and returned to school on a monday because i had too and that was the worst thing leaving her so soon. I am now breastfeeding because i want the best for her and its annoying having to use my 30 min break during clincal to pump while my friends eat. Please wait until after school I was also over looked for 2 extern jobs because i was pregnant. It is not fun at all and its very stressful and its unfair to the baby because your gone and having to study all the time. Think before you conceive.

Has found my dream job.
I went to St. Jude recently to meet with some recruiters and I fell in the love with the place. I graduate in 6 months with my associate Rn degree. I want nothing more to work there. Though I am nervous I might not get hired. Does anyone know any tips or something I can do to make me stand out from other nurses. Has anyone worked there that can give me some advice.

Trouble in Clinical groups
No she didn't accidentally take she took it for her own benfit. Instead of writing down lab vaules and medication for her care plan like the rest of us. She took the patient summery so she could just get all of the info from there. She has done this before many and i have not said anything but since We shared a patient I didn't want to get in trouble cause if any one knew she would blame it on my in a heartbeat. That is the type of person she is. And I did the speaker phone because I was not to go to someone with out proof. The way I see it if you were a nurse and did that not only would you lose your job, but you could get fined or jail time.

Trouble in Clinical groups
Our clinical group was on the floor a couple weeks ago and this girl in my group is very disliked by the group because of the way she acts she thinks none of the rules apply to her, she thinks she is better than everyone else and she starts drama all the time. We are just trying to get through school and work and she wants to do is start trouble. Well she was team leader this day and we shared a patient after leaving the floor she informed me she took the patient care summery instead of shredding it like she was suppose to. after telling the rest of the group and calling her to put it on speaker phone so they could her from her she took it. We went to our teacher. a week later she was kicked out. I feel bad but at the same she violateda patients privacy and rights. Everyone else in the class seems think we lied just to kick her out. Were we wrong for coming forward, should I just have kept to myself? What would you do?
