CRNE Oct. 5, 2011
I just received my mail today and I am so happy to say that I passed! This was my second attempt. This is what I did to study: I typed up notes and reviewed them, used the 5th edition of the CRNE Prep guide, 2 Mosby Books, and did various practice questions that were provided by nurses2canada.net. For those who did not make it this time around, please do not loose hope! You can and will get through this. I think one of the biggest difference with how I studied for this exam versus the June exam was the amount of practice questions that I did. I only scored roughly around 66-69% on the practice exam but I scored an 80% on the CRNE prep guide practice exam. I wish you all of the best!

Thank you all for the supportive environment that you have provided. I just went to the mailbox and found only flyers. I broke down in tears because I found a big envelope but realized it was for my parents. I will continue to pray hard and be as positive as I can be. I don't think anyone from Alberta has gotten theirs yet. My friend & I are anxiously awaiting for results. Good luck to all of you. & I am so sorry to hear that some did not make it. My prayers are with you. It's heartbreaking to see how hard some of us work to achieve our nursing dreams only to get a letter back saying the work we put it did not cut it. =( Please do not give up. I know that if I get back another fail letter I will be heartbroken and let myself cry for as long as I need to then work hard again.

nurserlc hi there, was it a big white envelope? from those who have previously passed, they informed me that the envelope is very light because there are only a couple pieces of paper inside... is this true? thanks! & congratulations to you!

Congratulations to all of you who have passed! It must be such a relief! I am still waiting for my results.. =( Any word yet from anyone in Alberta? For those who got their results, did it come in a big brown envelope? Were there alot of papers inside? Also, thank you for those who gave out the passing mark of 114. I am just wondering what it was out of.

I am also from AB. I wonder when we will get our results. Words can't even begin to explain how nervous I am to get my results. I wish everyone the best & I hope we all make it! For those who wrote the CRNE for the second time on October 5, did you get your June results earlier than your peers? I got mine on a friday, while everyone else who passed got theirs on the monday after I got mine. Just wanted to see what your experiences are. I have heard from people that those who fail often get their results first

Hello to all! I just wanted to give my 2 cents on this CRNE fiasco! I wrote the June exam & failed. According to the performance profile they provided. The total maximum points was 176. The exam was out of 176... 112/176 = 64% I am not sure why they say that there are only 20 experimental questions if that is not the case... I wonder how many there will be for October exam. I am feeling so frustrated. I have studying as much as I can, getting up very early to study. I have done numerous practice exams and I still manage to only get 66-69% I don't know how to improve my scores... I hate how most of the questions will have 2 answers that you will lean towards. I ALWAYS END UP PICKING THE WRONG ONE. lol. Anyways, I wish good luck to all who are writing it. I can't believe how soon it is.
