When I first started out I was offered $10.08 and a big major level 2 trauma hospital. But I continued to apply at different hospitals closer to my house. Withing 4months of applying everywhere else. I landed a PRN PCT job making $11.98 base pay plus $0.75 eve, $1.71 night, and $1.00 weekend. Plus its closer to my house 25mins. Compared to over 1 hour drive. With a little more experience you will be offered more.

Hi Qwinlyn, I know the feeling, I myself recently went to a interview also at a hospital. Interview went pretty well. After the interview the department manager had a tech give me a tour of the place. I was touring for about 30mins with the tech. Afterwards manager, informed she has a few other applicants to interview and then she will make her decision. The waiting for a phone call back is driving me nuts.

I went to through that same process. Applied, they called me in for group interview. 1 wk after I was called in to shadow a caregiver. After that I never heard from them. Called manager a few times never returned my phone call. I gave up after calling her a few time. Maybe Thats not where I was meant to be. Will continue to look else where. It is becoming extremely hard to find a job in Georgia:crying2: .It's really who you know and not what you know. Another thing that kills me is when they say they want experience. How will I gain the experience if no one gives me the opportunity. A good friend of my got into a hospital as a CNA without any experience. I guess it all has to do with timing. Hopefully my timing is around the corner. Soooo stressed and depressed.

I think the problem may be HR dept, once you have applied a few times they seem to reject your resume. It is hard to get through to them. if only it was easy to find out who the hiring manager are for the department that is hiring. I have not had any call back or interview. I even called a few HR department, left messages, spoke to them. noooooo interview. I feel like I wasted money on getting CNA and Medical Assistant. So depressing. Any leads please let me know anyone in ATL area...thanks

lol...that is so funny about the big red line on your resume..I also tried nursing homes, assistant living, to no avail. The job market in ATL is very competitive. It's really starting to be "who you know". I have a also include on my applications and resume that I also have my Medical Assistant degree. Which shows that I have Vital Signs,EKG and Phlebotomy experience. Will continue to push forward....

I wish I had any word of advise, I am also facing the same thing here in ATL. I hope doors open up for us soon.
