I'm 43 and just starting an ADN program in January. Good to see there are so many guys making the jump to Nursing as a second career. Also helps to reinforce my decision.

Yes I did retake the Hesi and fared much better. I improved from a 91% to a 95.4% approximately. My total when I applied for the Fall was a 140 and that was not good enough to make the cut.

I'm looking forward to when the acceptance letters are e-mailed. My score is a 147 if I calculated correctly. I believe this puts me at about a 50/50 chance of getting in. Other posts have stated the average hesi score is around 150. Good luck!

I have also applied for the Spring 2012 after not being accepted for the Fall 2011. Hoping for better results this time around. Good luck!
