  1. Oh and dopamine There's no print on the scrub pants only on the top... That's a really good idea. I think I'll do the same.
  2. I talked to one of the advisors (Connie I think) on Friday at our orientation... And she said not to buy the textbooks and wait until the first week of school. She said depending on the professor you got the textbooks can vary. I personally hate waiting because I hate feeling unprepared but I want to save as much money as possible too. and I really don't want to fight the crowd at the bookstore. Does anyone have any suggestions on this one? Buy it now or wait until the first week?
  3. Thank you Francobeano... I'm turning in my forms next week. Hopefully there's still spots available.
  4. I hope to get Hodges too... Do you guys know how many spots are left for her class?
  5. Hey gocards, I'm pretty sure we're not going to be able to work a M-F kind of job. I looked at the list of classes and it looks like its Monday-Thursday with a 8:30-11:30 class and a 1-5:30 class. It varies but that looks like our schedule for the most part. I talked to a few of the nurses at my job and they said resigning is the best option especially if you have kids and I do, but for me not working is going to be difficult on my family, financially I mean. Well hopefully all of our questions get answered at the orientation... I know I've got a bunch of questions to ask. Stress already and it's only the beginning.
  6. Thanks Francobeano. I have no idea where to park that won't cost me an arm and a leg. Where do I go to get a parking pass?
  7. Congrats gocards!!! Can't wait to meet everyone... Excited and overwhelmed... I just got my email about the health requirements and almost fell over. So much to do and finals are coming up for these semester too!!!! Question? Does anyone know how the parking is at manoa? Where? How much?
  8. Hey cha12m, I took the NLN twice. The first time I reviewed the review book off and on for a month and scored a 117 and had a 49 in the verbal so I couldn't apply to UH. So I had to take the NLN again and the second time I took way more seriously. I read the review book everyday even if it was just for 10 minutes at a time. I reviewed it everyday for 3 months straight. Everyone is different on how they absorb the info and for me repetition is what worked.
  9. Thanks for the heads up.... I just see the dollar signs adding up but it'll totally be worth it.
  10. I'm going to manoa Monday to drop off my letter of intent and check out the scrubs and stuff but I haven't done anything else. Jujubees, is it walkins for the LCC student health center or is it by appointment?
  11. Congrats congrats!!!! See you at the orientation next month.
  12. No it didn't change but I'm currently a student at LCC, so I think that's why. Don't give up hope yet.. You never know.
  13. Mireille I think you should call already. I think everyone got their letters Friday and Saturday.
  14. Sorry servelove and neeko! Keep trying and don't give up. Congrats jujubees and I'll see you soon. I also got my acceptance letter and nearly fell to the ground. So excited.
  15. Ok everyone my friend broke down and called the office... They said the letters are being sent out very shortly and we should be receiving our letters this week or next! Good luck everyone!
