  2. Got my call this morning at 10:45 as a part tme alternate saying I'M IN!!!!!! I almost starting crying when she told me!!!! Hope everyone else gets their call today too!!!!
  3. Well no news today...def should hear something tomorrow. I'm getting 3 of our shots tomorrow too just in case best of luck to everyone, I hope I get in!
  4. Part time alternate here, only a few more days till we find out who gets in(fingers crossed). But has anyone heard any new news about more spots opening up, or anything!can't wait to get Tuesdays phone call off my mind!!!!
  5. Is there any other part time alternates on here beside bea123??? We both are anxious to see where we stand, what are ur points????
  6. Talked to --- about how alternates are chosen, she said they take the higher numbers then go down, but randomize with the number, which is what I thought. For example if there are 3 ppl left with 29 points they will make their spot random from 1 to 3 then move onto ppl with 28 points and make it random as well, make sense?
  7. I will call here in a bit and ask about how they choose alternates n let you know...
  8. For the alternates does anyone know how they pick? Do they go by the higher numbers and go down but choose randomly within a certain number? Make sense?
  9. I'm a part time alternate, and I didn't ask about the full time, I'm sorry
  10. Just talked to carol...the administrative assistant in nursing. She said they gave us the wrong date and next Tuesday they will be calling..she felt really bad. Also she said there is 16 seats with only 11 ppl showed up to orientation, she also said there was 9 part time alternates that showed up and only 5 spots....anyone know what the part time point cutt off was??? I'm really nervous, there is gonna be 4 unhappy ppl by next Tuesday ;(
  11. I just called them, they said they messed up n they won't b calling us till next Tuesday...I think someone else should call to make sure. Lol.
  12. I know i hope we get the call..u know wen their gonna start calling or how many part time spots r open
  13. Any alternates hear anything yet! I'm a part time alternate w/ 28, hope I have a chance!!!
  14. I'm a part time alternate with 28 points..at orientation sounded like only 11 were there. If I counted right when they were calling out the numbers. But there are 16 seats total so that means 5 alternates get a spot!!! Did I hear this right? Or anyone know something I don't??
  15. I know everyone has worked really hard to get to this point, it took me 2 1/2 yes, and it's still 50/50.. But no matter how many times you take your teas they will take your highest, as long as you pass all four sections it doesn't matter if you take it again in 3 months and fail half of it. Question, you apply to part time? How many points did u have? And did they call you last week? Good luck to you tho, I know I was in tears when I heard I was a alternate, just trying to look at the bright side of things. Also teas version 5 is way harder, so study your butt off, especially the reading and english section. When I first took it last summer under version 3 I passed all parts but only earned 1 point. Retook it this summer before applying to nursing and failed reading and English I'm scheduled to retake it on November 19 just in case this alternate thing doesn't workout. And do you know what the point cutoffs were, they didn't seem to be 100% sure when I asked...
  16. Naalaakkumon...yes I did get a call on the 19 th the same day as accepted students but she told me I was a alternate for the part time, so I still have to go to all the orientations. When I got my packet on Monday she didn't tell me exactly how high up i am as a alternate but she said it looked very promising for me...
  17. I talked to the lady in limited entry again yesterday and she said alternates are picked randomly by your points. So if the cut off was 29 for part time ppl, with 28 will have the spot if it opens but will pick randomly for ppl with 28 points and say all the 28 pointers get in they will move down to ppl with 27 and mix those open randomly as well. So they still go by point ranking in a way...make sense?
  18. I applied to the part time and became a alternate with 28 points. When I talked to the lady in limited entry she told me a couple times it looked promising for me. So. Hope that means I'm at the top of the list!
  19. I'm a alternate for part time too, how many points did you have. Ihad 28... Which i thought was awesome, but guess not good enough. wonder what the point cut off was?
  20. I got the call...alternate though for part time. I applied with 28 points I really thought I would have gotten in really disappointed, I've been working my butt off, just keeping my fingers crossed that I will get a seat.
  21. Im sooo nervous!! I also applied for nursing 2012 but for part time with 28 points. Sounds like they had fewer applicants this year so I hope that's a good thing for all of us. I feel like 28 points for part time is iffy. Hope I get that call or I'll be crushed ;(
  22. Hello. Are you going full time or part time? I have a friend that just got accepted fall 2011 full time with 27 points. I'm also hoping to start spring 2012, with 28 points but part time, which is harder to get into, but I hope I have a Chance I will be heart broken if I dint get in! Good luck!
  23. Hello all. I applied to spring 2012 for part time nursing. Really nervous with 28 points, you think I have a chance?
