I think the certification that you are confusing it with is "PMHCNS-BC" which requires you to hold a master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree* from an accredited psychiatric–mental health clinical nurse specialist program. To answer the other part of your question, for the lower certification... RN-BC is the credential issued for 2 years experience, 2000 hours, and 30 CEU's, (and passing the exam) and the title is "Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse". Hope that's helpful.

Make sure you study well for the next TEAS, use the ATI Study guide and complete or come as close as you can to completing the science prereqs you are taking before the application deadline. Some schools will only allow a limited number of TEAS tests per application cycle.

So have you finished up all the prereq classes now? I think if you have you should be a lock to get in. I'm looking to take my ENGL102 over the summer; then all my classes will be done for the AND. Then I need to squeeze in Stats, 2 semesters of chemistry, and Nutrition toward my BSN and maybe 1 more humanities. The dosage exam is 20 questions, so you can get 1 wrong.

Just finishing up dosage now and classes start Jan 30.

That's where the application should be. I noticed that mine was gone. I really think they might have purged themall not thinking new applications were there. I got. C in AP 1. For some reason I had a super hard time in the lab. I got a B in AP 2 and A's in all my other classes. It didn't help that I took 1 and 2 over the summer in 6 week blocks.

Gotcha, I was wondering if that' what it was after reading your other posts. I think you better give the School of Health Professions a call. I wonder if they purged out all the applications and didn't take account of applications for the next semester.

The way the classes are divided 2 classes were 4 credits and 2 classes were 3 credits, so it gives an off sounding gpa. AP 1 and 2 and psyc 101 and engl 101. My 5th class would have been micro but I was still taking it.

Hey, I'm that guy with the glasses.I got a 3.14 on nursing prereq with Micro in progress;4.0 in Nursing requirements without taking Engl 102.I got a 90 on the TEAS which came out to Advanced. I've heard that a 92 is Exemplary. You can get a worksheet from Gwen Jones in the Essex Advising Office which will show you exactly how you stack up based on their point system. I was waitlisted and then got accepted in December. I think in my case the TEAS helped a lot.Doug Meise was great, I got an A too.o

I was on SIMON yesterday looking at the applications. My application was also gone. I think what has happened is that since we have started dosage and class begins on the 30th they are done using this cycle of applications. Unfortunately, if you haven't been accepted to the Spring program you will have to apply again for Fall 2012.

I'm curious what everyone has done for their titers. Has anyone found something relatively cheap? The best I've found so far is Accesa Labs for $240. https://www.accesalabs.com/titers Any ideas?

Out of curiosity, it that something that just CCBC classifies by? I'm wondering because my score was 90 and the report said that I was Advanced.
