I was reading previous posts that 80 are invited to interview for 40 spots in the program. I have no clue if they spread out the emails......

P.S. I hope we hear for an interview soon.

I recently got an email stating that one of my classes doesn't meet the description provided. I used an upper division for Anthropology since I didn't take an introductory course. Anyway, I'm not disqualified for an interview but my course is now listed as " in progress"....I hope it doesn't hinder me too much. I wanted to share just incase anyone has the same issue or is thinking of using an upper division as a substitute.

Hello! I thought this board would be way more active since the deadline is coming up. I'll be ready to submit everything on monday and will be mailing my transcripts the same week. I don't know much about this program...I'm going for FNP. My GPA isn't too great but I have a lot of experience and I think my essay turned out well. I also applied to Concordia Irvine.

Speaking of checking emails I received one early this morning saying my application is complete. It was forwarded to the nursing committee and states we should ( it's tentative) hear about interviews July 1st. Anyone else get this?

I'm applying for Summer 16 and was wondering if anyone wrote more than the 1 to 2 page requirement for their personal statement. Mine runs over to about 3 pages.... I can shorten but I'm wondering if it's absolutely necessary.

Saint Joseph's is in the same building which is great to have. Anyway, I'm assuming we find out interviews in July? I'll be praying we all get one! Wonder how many people applied...

Hey there Wicka, I'm applying as well. I live in California so I am using this last week to gather up everything and will most likely hand deliver it. A little about myself ( stats for the lurkers) I completed an internship a few years ago..CCE and recently did about 7 months more of volunteering through a similar program at a different hospital. My GPA is low but my Pre-req's are high...3.5 for this particular program. I've applied to some competitive schools in the past with no luck, probably due to my GPA and I've retaken Anatomy/Physiology as well. I'm hoping my personal statement and experience comes through for me. I'm also applying to Azusa, Cal-Baptist, and thinking about Western-CA ( crazy expensive). Anyway, hope that helps.

Hey all, I am planning to apply for the FALL 2015... I was wondering if you guys answered the personal statement questions in numerical format or did you answer them in the traditional style of an essay?

I think this program is probably too competitive for me. I was going to apply a couple cycles back but I applied elsewhere instead.

I applied to a few entry level programs over the past and was unsuccessful. So I'm seeing if I can go the ADN route. Since I'm moving to Tampa I figured it would be the best option.

Medic6758, Do you know of any other than USF? I don't meet their requirements because I took a couple classes over to boost my GPA and they only look at first attempt. Also, South U offers one but I have yet to hear anything positive about their program.

Hi, I just came across this thread and was wondering if someone could shed some light for me. I'm new to the Tampa area and have a B.S. in Health Science. I still need to take the computer course that is required but does anyone know if it's possible to waive the requirement since I already have a degree? Also, is anyone applying for the April 1st 2015 application round that's not a resident? I'm interested to know if people actually get in who are non-residents. I'm an out of state resident BTW.... I'm with everyone assuming I am rejected as well since I haven't heard anything. It's irritating that they haven't just sent an email, it would be the least they can do at this point. I think they've handled the process this cycle poorly ( being rejected isn't helping the fact either). I don't think it has to do with being understaffed at this point it's just the ability to click "send".

anyone heard anything? my decision status says " You should soon be receiving a response directly from your major program regarding a decision on your application."

Btw I myself think I've definitely been denied just because I haven't received an email and my app status is no decision

@UVAHOO @stormyhopes I'm not trying to be a downer and not positive. I'm just trying to be realistic. That' s just me in the process of applications. I love being hopeful and I think it's great. It's just a terrible feeling ( sometimes even worse) to get so optimistic and then receive a rejection. Not saying people will but I have in the past done the exact same thing. I think RF told that person because she was literally in the process of getting out those acceptance emails and told the person exactly what she was doing. I doubt she would have said ( or had the time to check) actually..you've been denied and all acceptances are going out today. That would be cruel and unusual.

I think all the acceptances went out at the beginning of the week and now mid week it's waitlisters and by friday rejections. That's just my theory, to me it doesn't make sense that -------- would have a separate pile of acceptances and then continue with waitlisters there. I think --------- has given his acceptances and ------------ agrees or disagrees and sends out the emails accordingly. Still no clue on why rejections wouldn't go out first either.

Yeah! I feel the same ( although I hope I'm wrong). It's easy to send out emails to every acceptance at once and same with denials etc. so i'm not sure what the system is. There should be some denials if they're in batches...IDK just saying.
