If I don't hear tomorrow I think I just might burst from anxiety. At this point I just want to hear A decision...it's so hard waiting! haha Like jiwonkim89 said though...one more day!

Congrats cnd29! I know how stressed you were...I'm really glad you got to know. Its really good to see people from this thread get accepted. Almost seems like they got all the BSN/MSN applicants! Here's to hoping for more good news.

I did as well. I was wondering the same thing about the applications. I'm just going to be patient and give it some time.

I loved that video haha Girrrrrrllllllll don't get me STARTED on makeup lol! But seriously Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is the best I would say (also expensive-$42!). There is Clinique, it's called Almost Makeup and Sephora brand has a nice tinted moisturizer too. I just like the way Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer feels. I asked my friend what I should do for my anxiety and he said to do 10 pushups and every time I come up I should say 'I am awesome.' I think I'm getting made fun of here...

I get that. Mine was more 'I'm helping people but I want to be hands on'. Go to the open house. I went to one in October(?) and it was really good. I liked meeting the students and getting a feel for the college. I think you should be okay for the January 15 deadline because you are applying Fall Entry right? I'm pretty sure that's the deadline for you. I think I've had like 20 cookies so far. I don't even know why I'm so anxious! I think waiting just drives me insane. I mean I really would be happy to get in but not super crushed if I didn't. I was just 'googling' Johns Hopkins and laughed so hard at what I found on urbandictionary.com 'Johns Hopkins is like unprotected sex. You're happy you got in but sad when you came.' :dncgbby:

Also I remembered this because I have to be at Sephora tomorrow at 7 a.m.! I work part time at Sephora and am currently volunteering as co-director with an organization called Activists for Women's Health. So when I'm not writing about women's health and freaking out about nursing school, I apply makeup to those who visit Sephora! I do love the sound of the piano. How was the recital?

I wonder if there have been any rejections... Gosh I was doing so well not being anxious but this forum makes it hard to relax! It is a source of comfort but a source of panic as well.

I'm wondering in what order are they calling people in too? Is it the date of application received or by last name... Anyone else going to call JHU after December 15th if they hadn't been notified yet?

First, I would like to applaud your post. I have wanted to be a nurse since high school but ever since I have mentioned the profession, my parents have shown great disdain for it. From telling me that it is a dirty job to how disrespected you get as a nurse, they have always tried to dissuade me! However... When my mom had food poisoning, I was there. When my dad got his pacemaker put in, I spent the night. I do not have to defend my passion for nursing to them anymore. It's funny because it was never the long shifts or the contact with bodily fluids that would deter me. It was witnessing suffering or death. Many times when I would see it on the news or through my parents I would get so stressed and upset. Something I've realized, though, is that if you want to help people you will see suffering and may experience death. I've finally accepted (what was to me) the hardest part of the job. As I pursue nursing, I can only hope to have as many years of experience as you do and to pick up the half of the wisdom you have.

Wow no one has found out yet? Guess they are doing this really late this year.

This is the week guys! I'm keeping myself patient by assuming that acceptances are done later rather than sooner. I'm really sad my phone number changed though so I don't know if I'll get a phone call or not. Emails terrify me though because I'm pretty sure we'll find out that way too.

Besides baking...has anyone else used shopping as therapy? This application is getting more and more expensive...

Well unfortunately I wasn't able to make the chat yesterday because of work but was anyone else able to talk? I'm really sad I didn't get to because I'm sure they would have given more information about what has happened in the application process so far. Ah well... cnd I'm with you, ED and all my eggs in one basket. I won't be surprised if no one find out today either. I'm betting its all next week or even later. Last year some people found out as late as the 23rd for early decision!

jiwonkim...as always! I was really nervous but I realized its not time yet to get really nervous. I think I'm going to wait until the 15th to really start fretting. Last year people found out as late as the 23rd of December. I'm also hoping that no news is good news right now!

Hahaha I had the same reaction!! A bag full of cash indeed... I'm definitely hitting up that chat tomorrow...even if just to ask how many applicant there were this year.

Haha you guys we have gotten to 14 pages without even being notified yet! Glad I'm not the only obsessive one. So I didn't get a chance to update because I've only been able to check your posts from my phone and I hate typing a response from it! When I called, I found out that we could check the status of our applications. Then I emailed the appropriate person and the answer was that they weren't allowed to give out decisions? I just wanted to know if mine had been reviewed at all as that was an issue once. Ah well...I decided not to pursue it. Other interesting information from the phone call was that we will most likely get sent letters the week of December 15 (as in next week). I mentioned the phone calls and referenced this forum (lol) and she told me that if Admissions have time they will call accepted applicants. Apparently the calling is an extra thing they do...how cute! I'm half afraid to check my mail box and half excited. So many other people from the past have found out through phone calls... I was hoping someone would have found out by now. Past threads have gotten acceptances as early as the 9th! I know we have incredible applicants in this thread so fingers crossed for you guys! Has anyone thought about what sort of reactions they would have to the news? Acceptance or rejection? p.s. I hope we all get in...we seem like a good community!

Thanks rchristina! It's true...what is meant to be is meant to be. I'll let you guys know what I find out. My mom just got a huge bag of chocolate chips from Costco...guess who's going to make a ton of cookies!!! Say...should we both get accepted we should study together...I'm sure there will be lots of sweets involved between the two of us.

bahahahaha I love it. Justin Bieber you say? What I've been doing is figuring out how the news will come. I think only those accepted may get a call and if they can't reach you on your phone then you get an email. Those rejected will be sent a letter I imagine. I'm scared either way. I plan on calling tomorrow to ask how they are notifying and if my application has been reviewed yet. My biggest worry is that my past academic record will hold me back. I got straight As my final semester but man my grades from two years ago are not pretty. How does one prepare for rejection? Not to think negative thoughts but it could happen.
