  1. I'm starting nursing this summer and I can still not handle the sight of blood. I know I will get over it bc I am a cancer survivor (leukemia -a cancer of WBC) and I've been covered in my own blood countless times because of the cancer. Right after treatment I started passing out ever time I saw blood. Been passing out for years now. Not too sure what I am going to do, but I just hope my professor don't give up on me because nursing is my passion. My honest plan is just to keep seeing it and passing out until I just get over it and realize it's just blood! Lol I know that sounds horrible!
  2. Yeah I am worried too, but attending! I got accepted into the Demorest campus and turned in my stuff already. I want to know when we are starting in May. Just dieing for more information!
  3. I just got mine too! Are you going?
  4. I took anatomy last summer in a 3/4 week class. It was hard, I hated my life, but I made an A. I took biology I the summer before last and it wasn't nearly as hard. I think it's because you have to memorize all the bones and muscles in such a short amount of time. It's doable though!! I definitely would take anatomy over micro, a lot of students have a harder time with micro and you probably want to be able to see some sunlight over summer!
  5. Thanks, I'm going crazy with anticipation!
  6. I applied and had my interview on the 16th. I have two friends there now in the nursing program. They both get some pretty nice grants, however I don't think that is the case for everyone. You just have to write a letter to the dean of nursing about your financial situation i think, just ask about it. I know both of my friends have to pay several grand a semester even with their grants! BUT Piedmont seems to really care about their students so I would think that they might give more to those in need, who know! I wouldn't go there expecting handouts without knowing for sure b/c if you pick Piedmont over North GA and you find you can't pay for it your last semester that would turn out horrible! The costs are def higher without grants and if you feel confident North GA is for you then go for it! The location is just fantastic for me b/c I really need to spend time with my mother and her house is close by. I hope I get in!! How did your interview go?
  7. NursingCAS makes me so angry! I was annoyed enough when my school wanted me to send multiple copies of all my transcripts but on top of that I have to type out every class? They messed up my transcripts too, me and my best friend had to send them 3 times... It's not free either to send those transcripts. If there's an application fee why can't they use that money and pay someone type in all my classes for me?
