  1. I just got my acceptance letter from Mason but have not heard from the nursing program. Oh the anxiety:-(!!!!
  2. Hi! First off, congrats!! I was wondering how you found out. Did you get a letter in the mail or did you speak to someone? I applied as well and am dying to know!!! I have heard good things about Marymount. However, if you are planning on getting a Masters degree, you could save money by getting the AS degree and then try applying to a MSN program. I would have done that but I am older and not sure how much more school I can handle :-) I am sure you will make the right decision. Good Luck!!
  3. Those are great GPAs and scores!! I'm sure you're application will be competitive! Mine are not as good. GMU is kind of a wish and a prayer for me :-) BA in Psychology, 3.48. All A's in my pre-reqs except for two. I also got an 84 on A & P scection of HESI. Received 100s and 90s in everything else except for implications and understanding. I HATE those sorts of questions! What does the writer want you to get from this? I answer as to what I derived from it, and then you tell me I'm wrong...UGGG! I do have a Masters degree in Health Care Management, 3.9 GPA, an internship in the OR, and some medical office experience. I'm hoping this will compensate a bit for grades and score? Good luck to you!
  4. Hi! I am considering it. Would anyone mind sharing their credentials (GPA, experience, HESI score)?
  5. HI. I am applying for next fall. Would you mind sharing your stats. I am having so much anxiety:(
  6. Congrats to all of you! I am applying for fall 2012. Hoping to ease some anxiety. Would any of you mind sharing your credentials(gpa, degrees etc). I have a 3.4 BA in psych, 3.9 MS in health care management) Have interned in an OR and worked in doctors office. Anyone similar get in? Should I apply? You can email me with credentials or any advice. Thanks!!! [email protected]
  7. Hi! Definitely do NOT go the NAS route. I am currently taking pre-reqs at NVCC. There is a microbiology (NVCC BIO 150) that is accepted by Mason, Marymount etc that requires no chemistry pre-req. Good luck and hope this helps :-)
  8. Thanks for the response. The reason that I am contemplating waiting for GMU is the fact that I got my MS from Marymount and while it was a great program, it was rather expensive. I am trying to avoid such a high cost for the BSN, but will happily go to Marymount ifI don't get into Mason. Where are you attending if you don't mind me asking. Can you tell me what you like/don't like about the program? Thanks!!! :-)
  9. This is for anyone who has been accepted or not accepted into the accelerated program at Mason. Would you mind sharing what your qualifications were? GPA, Masters degree (?), work experience, Hesi score etc. I can start a program in January, but would really like to wait and see if I can get into Mason for fall 2012. I have a Masters degree in Healthcare Management (3.9 GPA), a Ba in Psychology (3.4 GPA), and As and Bs in my pre-reqs. I have a bit of healthcare experience. Anyone similar get accepted or not get accepted? Anything you could share would be greatly appreciated :-)
