RN to NP endorsement from MI to Ohio
Hello, I am reaching out to anybody who can help me. I have been a registered nurse for almost 3.5 years and I just finished my NP degree and passed my boards. I am moving to Ohio from Michigan to practice as a nurse practitioner. Ohio is a strict state when it comes to endorsing your license. I called the Ohio state board of nursing and I have not been able to reach anybody to help me. I left emails and voicemails, nobody is responding. Did anybody else have this problem ? I don’t want to fill out the wrong application. And have to redo everything all over again. Please help !

Online NURSE PRACTITIONER programs
Hello, I am an RN planning to continue my education in nurse practitioner. However, I am looking for an online program, in which I can do my clinical in Lebanon, since I will be moving there temporarily. Or, another alternative is looking for an online Np program that offers a SIX month clinical only. Is that possible? Please share any information you have regarding this question !

RN to MD or DO
I am thinking just to stick with nurse with nurse practitioner. I already went to school for 4 years to earn my Bachelors in Nursing. I think it will be an easier path for me to becoming a Nurse practitioner. That way, I will be able to at least assist with surgeries. However, I am looking to do travel nursing in the middle east. Does anybody know international nursing agencies ? thank you!!

ventilator associated pneumonia
Well, thats true, however, there are also barriers as well such as lack of knowledge about oral health and infections, nursing staff ratios, lack of experience with vent patients. I am not saying it is not performed, according to my research it is not done properly. Example, brushing the teeth should take 2 min. Is that being followed? not in all places it isnt What are your hospital protocols?

ventilator associated pneumonia
holistic care means working with the patient as a WHOLE. This means we should be accurtely implementing the right care so prevent the patient from suffering or producing more complications. If a patient is on a vent, they are unable to care for themselves. This is where the nurse's role comes in. We are there for a reason. To help the patients relax, be comfortable, have a short hospital stay, decrease moratality rates. Ethical and moral? RESPECTING the patient as a whole. Putting our self in their shoes, doing our duties and serving good, proper care. Using evidence based practices to improve quality of care.. Nonmalifience....to do no harm...well, when nurses arent doing proper oral care to ventilated patients cause VAP is harm...because it can lead to DEATH. justice..being fair...being fair meaning helping the helpless. if they cant do their own care, who will? why arent nurses taking that into consideration? accountiblity....yes, thats a BIG one...if nurses aren't practicing correctly....they should be held accountable for new complications that develop in these patients. Thats what I THINK.

ventilator associated pneumonia
No, not really. I want to be an ICU nurse and we need to discuss some ideas in class.

How does holistic care relate to nurses preventing ventilator associated pneumonia.. What are some ethical/moral/ and spirtual concepts related to that? health promotion concepts?

Anticipatory guidance and health promotion for a patient with altered mental status
hello, i am doing a presentation on one of my patients. They are asking for some anticipatory guidance and health promotion needs of the patient. she is a 58 year old, who had a kidney transplant, and has been having altered mental status changes since the surgery. they found out she was neurotoxic from one of the meds. she was confused and could not make her own decisions. her husband was her medical power of attorney. what could be some long term discharge planning goals as well? Ethical legal standards?

Ventilator Acquired Pneumonia
I changed my capstone project to the following: " Nurses' role in preventing/reducing Ventilator Acquired Pneumonia in Mechanically Ventilated patients". I didn't want to chose a certain population because I found many nursing journals about it just in general. I need to do a 2-3 sentence thesis statement identifying the problem within the scope of nursing. Any help?? I am not sure if I should choose a certain popuation, because I already found many nursing journals about the topic in general. Help =/

What is the nurses role in preventing/reducing post c-section infections?
I have been using the database searches on my school website. However, I found several good articles that I cant use because they are older than 5 years. I am specifically looking for Nursing journals, or journals written by nurses. I would really appreciate it if I can get some help in finding at least some nursing journals regarding my topic.

What is the nurses role in preventing/reducing post c-section infections?
My topic is " The Nurses's role in prevention/reduction post-c-section infections". My school changed the idea this year from patient education to NURSE education. Basically, how can NURSES play a role in the problem we identified. Any suggestions on my new topic? Does anybody know where I can find nursing journals related to my topic? So far, I found 2, but its been very hard. We need 15 nursing journals total out of 30 articles.

Capstone project on congenital hypothyroidism
Hello, I am a senior nursing student graduating in December! Finally! We need to do a capstone project on any medical disorder we like. I chose to do congenital hypothyroidism since my sister was born with it. I want to learn more about her condition and research on how to care for patients with congenital hypothyroidism. However, we need a thesis statement. That theses statement CANNOT be a yes or a no question. I was wondering if anybody here can help me choose a good topic related to this medical disorder? Is it linked to something specific? I basically need help choosing a thesis statement.
