I went to UTHSC too for my BSN and applied for the part-time FNP summer start. My to-do list still shows Statistics and proof of BSN. However, it said if you already went to UT you didn't need to do anything. (They have my transcripts, etc.) Does yours still show this? No interview for me and my application status went from "complete" to "view application details" as well...

I applied earlier this month. I believe they wait until after the priority deadline and start notifying of acceptance in myuth sometime in March. Good luck!! :)

Hi there, I am a student at UTHSC Houston. My clinical this past Thursday was in the OR at the M.D. Anderson Mays Clinic off of Holcombe. The nurses were great and my experience was awesome. I immediately knew this is where I want to be. Can anyone tell me where to go online to find the application for OR nurse residency? I am not sure exactly where to go to or how to search for it, though I have been trying. So I thought I would try allnurses and see if anyone had anything on Houston OR nurse residency programs.

Definitely check your spam mail, I know a lot of emails ended up there. You get one email about your status on MyUTH changing and the other one is from a person at the school saying Congratulations and here is what you need to do next. On Facebook in the search bar type in UTHSC Houston SON Class of May 2014 and just request to join, youll have to wait for one of the administrators to add you :)

You got an acceptance email though right? and your holds changed? Just contact them tomorrow morning and let them know about the red circle...you should have been able to accept admission once you got the email...something isnt right.

The school recommends a study guide: Admission Assessment Exam Review 3rd edition| US Elsevier Health Bookshop This is what I purchased and studied twice over. As long as A&P 1 and 2 are fresh in your mind this study guide will be great. I made a 94.8% on my exam overall. For some people VOCAB seemed to be the hardest part...the vocab section of the test is EXACTLY like the book. GOOD LUCK TO YOU! :)

Sorry to jump in, UTHSC goes through the summer so it goes Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring Graduation. TWU breaks in the summer so you would have two summers off with their nursing program which pushes your grad date back. (TWU-Spring, summer off, Fall, Spring, summer off, Fall Graduation). I think that would be correct.

A facebook page has been created. It is titled UTHSC Houston SON Class of May 2014. It has been such a great help this far!!! Information on: Transcripts, immunizations, books, parking, driving, housing, supplies, scrubs, etc. If you get accepted ask to join!!!

If you do find out you were accepted make sure you screen shot everything!!!!! :) I was at work when I found out and was RUSHING to accept and my co-worker was like "wait, slow down, screen shot everything" So I did. I had the yellow triangle, when i logged in I had the green check! Since I did a screen shot I will forever get to look at it! I know how we all feel about that triangle. It takes you through a few more screens welcoming you to the school. Then it went right back to the yellow triangle because of all the stuff that is due before the start. Just an idea!!

Im actually emailing the school right now about transfering credits. I saw a few people comment about some students getting accepted but some of their credits wouldnt transfer for whatever reason. I asked how to find out if all of them transfer or not because if there is ANY issue I want to have time to sort it out before Jan 14th. She asked me if I received an evaluation and I told her yes so Im waiting to hear back from her. I think the evaluations will indicate what they will take or wont take...etc. So far I think Im good to go. And no im sure your application has been received and looked at. Some people get them some people dont. One on here said she got accepted then got her evaluation. If you get accepted here soon you can call the school and request one to check over everything.

I had a yellow triangle as well, currently taking microbiology. Dont worry, I am sure more of you will be hearing soon :)

Also, this just occured to me. In our acceptance email they send us an attachment that we have to send back saying we accept the "admittance offer" to UTHSC. It's due by this Thursday. Maybe they are going in rounds and seeing if those students deny or accept the offer so that they can start the next round....? would that make any sense? They didnt notify all 150 in one day and say "decision due back by Thursday" they are still notifying through Nov 15th. Idk just a puzzle I was trying to put together....and thought id share on here.

Maybe its a Thursday thing? If no one has received an email today, maybe they are doing it weekly. All of those so far on the FB group were notified on Thursday last week, I believe.

I received my email on Thursday, didnt check it till Friday!! I had the email icon on my phone and thought "eh, its my typical updates" I checked it at work Friday morning. I got one that said "please log on to MyUTH a decision on your application has been made" or something close to that. My heart dropped and I was thinking "its October?! They are sending out denials first" Never in my mind did i think it was acceptance. Then when I go back to my email list I see another email that is from someone at the school and says "Acceptance to University of Texas...." Then the CONGRATULATIONS...I about had a hard attack. I believe I even said "Holy F***" but I dont remember saying it, my co-worker told me HAHA sooo (pardon my french) I was SHOCKED. I really prepared for a No or finding out wayyy late or to be waitlisted. Keep checking your account, clearly they are taking their time to notify each of us. I know its hard to wait knowing some of us already know but it will happen!!!!!!!!!!! I cant wait to meet you all and study :)

Nooooo, dont get discouraged. Call the school. Also, remember they cant notify 150 students in one day. They prob have a system set up and YOU WILL get in. Stay optimistic, there is no better time for it. :)

It's OCTOBER 15th, 1 more month and we should start finding out our acceptance status!!!!!!

This is great news! Im glad people called the school, I almost did myself just for confirmation lol but I got it now! Thank you all for sharing...I did the math...haha...we need to be in the top 20% to make that 150/700. That is a WAYYY better chance then what they use to take which was less than the top 9%. I hope we all make it!!

Got a second evaluation yesterday in the mail, exactly like the last one. Even though it means nothing it just makes my application submission feel complete.

Im staying busy with Microbiology, work, my two kids, and all the festivities of October so that before I know it November will be here and we'll be finding out!!!! :)

I dont want to be naive and just believe everything I read, but the word "reliably" has me sold! I PRAY you are 100% right! Thanks for sharing!!
