I have been trying to obtain a position in L&D for over a year, have been on several interviews and had not had any luck. Well I finally got a call yesterday with an offer for a position on a LDRP unit!!I am so happy and a little bit nervous, but I can't wait to start my new journey!!
  3. Thanks for the advice! Yes teamwork is very important to me, where I am now and the teamwork here is outstanding. I am bilingual, so I try to play this up as well. I am going to practice with someone so maybe that will help.

Hello! I have an interview on the 29th at a local hospital for the birthing center, I am so excited but nervous! I have had some interviews before in this area and obviously not had any luck to date. I was told that I need to sell myself more, which I am thinking of ways to do that. I was just hoping to get some advice, I would really appreciate it!!
  5. Thanks for the advice. Congratulations on your new position!
  6. Thanks for the reply! And yes, it is postpartum. I have been doing alot of research, just nervous because this is an area I really would love to work in and positions are so hard to come by. Thanks again.
  7. We do that on my floor as well. And I absolutely hate it when it happens!
  8. Good afternoon everyone! I have been an RN for two years and have been working on a general medicine unit. I have an interview set up this week for a position on a Mother/Baby unit and was wondering if I could get some advice to help me prepare for the interview. I so want to work in this area and I want to make the best impression possible. Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
