Has anyone purchased your textbooks yet? I just viewed the required textbooks and there were a lot of books that were required for multiple classes, and even after deleting the repeat books the total is still $950. Do any of you have advice on where we can purchase books cheaper than at the school bookstore?

Hi Amanda! Congratulations on receiving you acceptance letter to the program! I am so happy we all can chat on here before orientation and classes start! What block of classes did you sign up for yesterday?

I had no idea that you could even do clinical's at the VA, that is pretty cool. I absolutely LOVE all the advice, keep it coming! Are any of the current ABSN students going to be at our orientation in January?

I am so excited for you leslie027!!! Congratulations! Now you can do the happy dance with us! I am still so excited! I emailed the counselor at IUSON today to make sure they received my fax too, but I haven't heard anything yet. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow I will probably call too!

crdavis- Have you received any confirmation that the SON received your acceptance to the program? I can't help being nervous that for some reason they didn't get the fax. I know it is silly, but I wish they could send us some verification that we are now "officially" in the program and not just conditionally admitted. I guess I just need some reassurance! leslie027- Any luck with your acceptance letter yet? I am pulling for you!

I chose block 2 :-) I also like the idea of block 1 or 2 because of the early Friday. And I also like the possibility of doing my clinicals at St. Vincents or IU Health!

Yeah that's a great GPA, you are for sure are getting in!! I just signed up for my classes too! So exciting!

Really? You were already able to sign up for classes! I should do that too, I had no idea that if you are already an IUPUI student you could sign up early! I don't want to be late on Fridays either. Thanks for the heads up!

Congratulations crdavis! I am also so so so excited!! I was eager to get started so I got my CPR certification this past summer and it is good until May 2013. I already sent in my acceptance fax and completed the background check! Now just waiting to sign up for classes! Any idea which block you're going to chose? Leslie, I am surprised that you haven't received your letter yet. I believe they sent them out on October 20th. What was your GPA?

It was a big white envelope with a few packets of information in it.

Do you have any recommendations for which block to sign up for for the first semester? I think the only main difference is the hospital: either IU Health, Wishard, and St. Vincent are my choices.

Hey IUPUI nursing students! I just got my acceptance letter in the mail for Spring 2012 ABSN Program at IUPUI! I am so excited and very nervous! I just wanted to check with students that are currently in the program to see how everything is going and to see if you have any advice for someone like me!?

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail!! I am still in shock! Anyone else out there that has received their letter yet??

The deadline for getting the letter from IUPUI is also early December, but I met someone on these forums that already got their rejection letter last Saturday! So I guess the letters for IUPUI are going out early. I am so nervous everytime I open my mailbox. Does IPFW have the same accelerated program as IUPUI?
