  1. you got the position? Congratulations!!!
  2. I'm so sorry to hear that. That has to be a terrible feeling but stay motivated and keep searching, something will come up. -BSN June 12, 2014 Private Health Science University with Level 1 trauma center on campus -Undergraduate GPA 3.5 -I have ACLS & Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment Cert. -Worked as a Student Nurse on stroke floor at Safety Net/County Hospital -Practicum in ED at my place of employment
  3. I had my 2nd interview today. I think it went well but it was hard to read how she was feeling about it vs the first interview. I did my best to answer her questions. One of the nurses that interviewed me during the first interview remembered me, so I guess thats good to be remembered, however I asked how many positions she had available she said 6 new grads and 8 experienced internal RNs. We'll hear back from recruitment, not the director, Mid June. Do you know how many made it to the second interview?
  4. I have my second interview/tour for nticu this coming Monday I'm wondering if I'm one of the last to do this?
  5. @MsRNAqueeiah were you asked more interview questions during the tour or was it a straight to the point tour where they allowed you to ask questions?
  6. I interviewed for Neuro/Trauma ICU on 5/13/14 and got an email for references on 5/20/14. I was interviewed by a panel and it went as good as I think it could've went. I made them laugh a lot which helped my nerves calm down. I was asked to schedule a tour of the unit the first week of June. She had me do this because I live an hour away and she said that was close enough for me to come back to the facility. So far most of my references have been completed I'm just waiting for my date to go back. The UD didn't even call it a second interview, she just said "I want to invite you back so we can show you the unit and talk more". I interpreted that as a second interview. I'm so nervous!! What goes on during the tour besides the tour?
  7. I applied as well, to Neuro/Trauma ICU, CTICU, and Surgical/Transplant. It's really making me anxious waiting as my status hasn't changed it still says "all required documents received" & "online assessment completed". Are most of you from the Los Angeles Area?
  8. Under my registration holds it says I need to show that I have First Aid Certificate/CPR Card. I believe they do require it.
  9. I have so many things to do lol. immunizations, accept loan offers, get my cpr/first aid, and final transcripts because I still have classes in progress. But i'll be commuting i live 15min away from loma linda.
  10. @lisawisa247 well it depends...did you submit your application before or on the priority deadline? Because if you didn't then maybe you didn't get in =( but if you did apply for priority then I guess you'll have to be patient. @DavidF6688 found out on monday, I just found out today so they seem to be telling people randomly. Best wishes =)
  11. @DavidF6688 no i didn't receive a phone call that would've been nice though. Well call the school of nursing because the email has important information regarding fees and registration links.
  12. I just received an e-mail this morning and I was accepted too!
  13. @ Perris_StudentRN the financial aid office contacted me. I had to add loma linda university to my FAFSA and once they received my information they gave me login information for "student services login" thats where you can check information regarding tuition cost, how much the school is offering you, etc. If they haven't contacted you yet give the financial aid office a call they're really nice.
  14. I pray everyday that I get into the program, and if I do ill be working part time at UPS just because they offer tuition assistance to college students (up to $3,000). Has anyone started working with the Loma Linda University financial aid office? They have everything set for me already except for cal grant cause i haven't switch it to Loma Linda U.
  15. No i re-took it about a month ago. and yeah it seems like everyone's scores are in the same range I too wonder how they'll decide on the applicants.
