texas nurse having hard time finding job being under tpapn
thank u, yes I was actually granted permission from my LCDC and my case manager to work 11-7 because there was a RN Supervisor on the floor giving my PRN/scheduled narcotics.. it's rare but they granted me permission .. then I didn't want to work night shift anymore so I applied at a home health doing office work/ quality assurance .. Monday thru Friday 8-5 no narcotics .. I would try that ..

I...made....it!!
good luck jenjen4u , hope the 2 years goes by fast foryou .. remember don't take that 1st drug/drink.. 1 is too many and a 1000 is never enough.. u can do this!! if u need anything or find urself wanting to pull ur hair out hit me up with a. message.. they say ur supposed to call ur advocate but sometimes u get a advocate who has no idea what it's like to be in our shoes.. I wanted to quit so many times!! I would cry myself too sleep and want to give up!! but after 6months the program becomes routine.. my son and wife were my motivation to overcome this program.. god bless

if its board ordered ni modo once u sign the agreement your Pretty much TPAPN's property for 2 years.. In my case no dwi no police record.. just refused a drug test and resigned From my job... I wasn't clean to be honest .. but they still screwed me for 2 years... if u have money and if u think u have a strong case go before the board and see what they say? but since it's board ordered I don't know.. if u want to keep ur licensure do what it takes to show them that ur not an addict even though u might not even be one... I had to... been off that program for several months now..

TPAPN Extended Evaluation Program- HELP!!! Drug screen during work hours?!?
regarding the license renewal , if ur in eep or tpapn and in compliance you answer no to that question. when I was in tpapn that's what my case manager said to do.

I...made....it!!
I believe so.. I remember having to mail/fax my meetingattendance sheet q month while I was working night shift..

I...made....it!!
it just depends on when ur case manager actually gets it.. plus u might have to do the 90/90 AA/NA meetings.. try working at an office Nurse/job such as home health, less stress no narcotics , no double shifts, just 8-5 mon thru Friday . just stay clean, don't drink too much water on testing days, go to ur meetings and take it one day at a time. as far as ur meetings I was doing 2 in one day sometimes, but I wouldn't recommend that you do 4 in ine day but ask ur case manger..

I...made....it!!
one day you will... and when that day comes you will be grateful that it's over. the end is just the beginning. I wish you the best.

I...made....it!!
this will be my last post.....it's been 2months since I successfully completed tpapn.. honestly my life has changed for the better .. there are rare moments when i wake up at 4am to log into recovery trek to see if I got selected for a random.. what a waste of money!! in the 2 years I was in tpapn I estimated about 4,000 dollars for drug testing.. I could of used that money for something else like my house my son or my car or to go back to school.. oh well It was a lesson learned.. today I'm grateful for everything and everyone in my life today.. just really happy it's all over.. I wish everybody in tpapn the best of luck...

@TXRN2 just checking in... i have about 45 days till i finish TPAPN .. i thought that i would complete on or about march but my case manager tells me on first week of April i should complete.. i can not wait to finish. i am going to apply to the BSN program and hopefully get accepted...... i have considered being a advocate, but not right now i honestly dont want to hear the word TPAPN or Drug testing.. i have spent a little over 3,000 dollars on drug tests in these past 2 years.. kind of a kick in the ass, i could of used that money for school or my house..but its a lesson learned for sure.. i wish everybody the best of luck who are in TPAPN..

@ iisonu I have been in ur shoes! becare full though cause u are only allowed no more than 2 dilute urine specimens cause the third one is considered a positive test also they will require you to get a renal evaluation to make sure ur kidneys are working fine. I know cause I went through that and I wanted to pull out all my hair!! you are pretty much in control of ur future u need to do what they say! pretty much bend over backwards for this program cause they can and will restart ur 2 years or refer ur case over to the nursing board. I wake up early to check to see if I got selected and I literally hold my pee until I get to the lab first thing in the morning to give a specimen, to ensure no dilute test.. if u have any questions ask and I'll answer them as best as I can.. goodluck
