  1. Hi I think it is the quality of the school more than the rigor of nursing courses! private school are just scams. Apply to a state school and save you 70,000 dollars. From my experience I don't recommend any one to go to a private school unless it is well known. 100% pass rate is a marketing strategy ... So you better waste the time on waiting list in texas and study in a state school. I wish I had the chance to reverse my decision. I am paying all that money and I am straggling to acquire knowledge good enough to pass NCLEX on my own! I feel I am betryed by the school I am in!
  2. Hi I strongly agree to what emcademas said. If you decide to come to OCU kramer school of nursing watch out! It is a private school.... a lot of advertisement... I assure you I am crying! In my opinion the school is not good......I have a hard time paying tution...I am blocked from erolling every semester because my FAFSA loan doesnot cover everything. I work fulltime and study to cover tution. Plus attending lecture is waste of time you will never get anything out of it. You better study on your own. Yet they will put pressure on me to attend classes because they don't want everybody to just pop up for exam!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  3. Hi carla Don't worry much about getting in to a nursing school. Worry about passing the NCLEX exam so you can be able to pay the 70,000 in tution back. The are a lot of quality schools in oklahoma that charge way less. I am not happy with the OCU's school of nursing. They are not helping me, they are just destroying me. Ask many other students before you get in.
  4. HI People, I am a student at kramer school of nursing. The school is easy to get in ... no waiting list, low GPA, the school even promises a lot of financial aid. Remember you are going to pay $13,000 a semster (close to $1000/cr hr). You should know more before you enroll. I personally am not happy with the school and I have seen a lot of students failling and leaving with a lot of debt. I am not saying they failed because of weak acadamic system of the school or because they had weak foundation (low GPA). The bottomline is when you are prepared to pay $13,000 a semster you need to know more about the school. I personally regret paying this much and not getting quality equivalent to that amout. Remember that once you enroll your objective is to pass the national (NCLEX-RN) exam, so you will work hard. I discovered that many schools advertise they have 100% NCLEX pass rate, it is simply a scam. I consider it conscious deception. They know you will work hard to pass NCLEX. You are on your own!!!!!!! My suggestion.....there are a lot of cheaper universities in oklahoma with better quality of education! Why end up sitting in a computer at night sharing your dissatisfaction to save some innocent students like what I am doing right now! or probably paying so much and failing the board exam.

  6. Hi People, I am a student at Oklahoma City University, OCU, Kramer School of nursing. I am probably going to fail enrolling this semester because I have unpaid bill. The school did help me with less than $2000 last semester but that was it! I pay close to $1000/ credit hour (13,000 for a semster). My federal loan doesnot cover all my fees and I have to pay the remaining balance to be able to enroll this semester. If there is anybody who knows some source of finance please let me know. I know I can transfer to Oklahoma state because it is cheaper and I hear they have great professors. The problem is OCU will never give me my transcripts unless I pay the balance. I am hooked up!!!!!!!!! Unluckily!!!!!! The school advertised a lot when I was new but most of what I was promised is not there. Watch out when you apply to OCU!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. STOP enrolling in Oklahoma City University Kramer School of Nursing. FACT: half the class fails almost all the time. Professor get frastrated and give free points by way of open discussion if you are lucky. If they decide otherwise you fail. Professors are not so great. Cost of tution is clost to $1000. You will end up paying close 70,000 at the end of the program adding up all the costs that are not advertised. I AM A STUDENT AT OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY and I will never allow the deception and failed promises that happened to me happen to anybody else. I dont know why anybody will want to come to OCU Kramer school of nursing when there are a lot of cheaper universities out there. Kramer University is full of incompetent staff and I depend on my own hard work to PASS NCLEX. I am just sad to notice that they will tell you they have higher NCLEX pass rate when people are left on they own hard work to pass NCLEX. They try to get credit for it. WATCH OUT! THIS IS A PRIVATE UNIVERSITY AND THEY WILL TELL YOU A LOT TO GET YOU ON THE HOOK.
  8. Oklahoma City University is expensive and not really better than any other school. IN AN AVERAGE EXAM HALF THE CLASS FAILS AND THEY SCRABLE TO COVERIT UP. THAT IS IF YOU ARE LUCKY. I am a student there and I discourage anyone to risk his life time saving enrolling in this school. They will tell you anything to get you on the hook once you are there you will cry. Most lectures are boring. I have never seen incompetence like in Oklahoma City in my life time. One credit hour costs around $1,000 and scholarships are not like What they tell you. REMEMBER THIS IS A PRIVATE SCHOOL TO OUT THERE TO MAKE PROFIT. GET THE OPINION OF AT LEAST 10 STUDENTS THAT YOU KNOW AND CONFIRM THE FACT BEFORE YOU MESS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
