  1. Understandable. A lot of people shy away after seeing the contract. Now I wonder what the turnover rate is. Hmmmm Congrats on your position! I did the opposite from you bc I wanted ER and ORMC wasn't staffing that anymore.
  2. So does this imply that there is another differential in addition to this? Curious, why did you decline?
  3. Sorry for the late response. If you've gotten through the phone interview then you're on the right path. I got a call from the Department head to schedule an interview within 2 weeks after the phone interview. However, this i dependentupon whatever you placed as your unit and campus preference. Patience is a virtue.
  4. Congrats Jaysof2 I just accepted a position at Fl hosp EDNIP program! Do you remember what the "premium differentials" were? I spoke with someone who works in the ED and they said it's an additional premium to "normal premiums" given to those in permanent acute care positions. Other posts on here discuss a 35% shift diff on med surge floors. What's your take/experience?
  5. They've already started conducting interviews.
  6. I was quoted 22.83 from Fl Hospital South (Orlando) ED for BSN pay w/o diff included. OH quoted 22.05 no diff included. Friend was called for interview from OH but was cancelled during phone call bc she preferred peds. The recruiter gave her the number to Arnold Palmer and hung up. Sooooo.....it depends on which unit and campus for both orgs.
  7. K2012 what's your email so I can send you the Davis Drug Guide and Psychology book?
  8. Cash is preferred. See you there!
  9. Ok so if you have a. Asters degree is it preferable to omit as a new grad? I was told to omit it because it makes you look over-qualified for the position.
  10. I'm unable to respond to PM's. I can bring them to orientation. Please be awar that you MUST purschase e med-surge and pharm book next semester as ey sell these in entirely diff packages that include the HESI practice material. It's in your best interest to stay ahead of all your classes this semester. Read BEFORE going to patho class and study/memorize the lectures AFTER class. It's more challenging if you get behind. Did you want the ebooks of Davis drug guide and psychology? We will speak more during orientation! Congrats again!
  11. Hey guys! I'm a current Gator nursing student and am selling all of my books for 550. I bought both the textbooks and electronic but prefer electronic so I have never used my physical textbooks. They are still brand new and the current ones that they require. If you buy the textbook package for the first semester it will cost you around 700 after taxes. If you buy the Text and E-books it will be 800 +. The only book that you will have buy is the Kozier & Erb's Fundamental of Nursing book as it doesn't come with the Elsevier package. Trust, you will need this book though. I have an e-book of the psych and Davis Drug guide books that I will throw in as well. Let me know if you guys are interested. I will be one of the mentors at the orientation. Congrats to those who were accepted! See you guys next wednesday!
  12. Pbsc may be your best bet bc they admit based on a point system. Do you have prior medical experience?
  13. Hey guys! I wish I would've found this site earlier. There's a lot of great information in here. I got in. I'm staying at the Enclave. Can't wait to see you guys. Also, where's the link to the facebook group?? I want to join!
