  1. Hey there! I'd like information about the CPR course please í ½í¸Š
  2. I sent a check that still hasn't been cashed. We're all in the same boat. I would just like a confirmation email or letter that I'm good lol
  3. Hey there! I'm excited too! Nope, no cashed check and no additional emails lol. Do you live near JC or will you folks be commuting? Im from the Oranges so not so bad of a commute depending on time of day.
  4. Eris08- Anericorp does sound pretty good, I sure wouldn't mind that either if it got rid of 60% of my student loans lol. I may have to look into that, thanks! Dianamoore748- were you accepted into the Wall or JC cohort? I haven't received anything about classes and I'm in the JC cohort. The physical exam form is on the website. The acceptance email gave instructions about where exactly it is.
  5. Well my deposit still hasn't been cashed by NJCU. And no list of classes or financial package. I'm gonna complete the fafsa but I'm sure I'll end up taking out a private loan. But idk if I should even do any of that before orientation.
  6. Awesome, I didn't know about the ipad either lol. And my check hasn't been cashed either but I tracked it and it was received. I'm so excited. I have my friends fundamentals textbook so I'm gonna look over that. Can't be too different from what we'll be assigned.
  7. I received my acceptance letter!!!!! I'm so grateful and relieved!
  8. Ugh I'm so anxious. So hard to stop myself from constantly checking my email lol. Congrats to the newly accepted Wall students!!
  9. Sorry, one more question... Did you guys upload your Hesi test score in the Documents section? I tried but it won't accept my pdf file... and although there is a note about that at the bottom of the page, I still don't know how to format it. I did enter my scores in the Academic History-Standardized test score section.
  10. Hello everyone! I was hesitant about applying because I've been out of school for so long.. but I took the Hesi last week and did well. So now I have to get my application in ASAP. For letters of recommendation, do you guys think it's important that the person writing the reference physically sign it? Because since everything is done online, it seems like a hassle to ask my supervisor to sign it, scan it, and then upload it. What do you guys think? Should I ask them to do that?
  11. What kind of degree is awarded at the end of this program? Its difficult to read about the program online. A BSN or ASN degree?
  12. thanks so much for the advice guys!! noahsmama - your advice definitely helped big time, i was approved for a loan easily because i'm still employed. the only part that sucks is they didn't give me my exact loan requested amount. (i was trying to get a little extra to help with rent/utilities) but i'll survive. :-)
  13. I still didn't get my FBI prints done because I live in NJ and my job interferes with the time the police station is open. Hopefully I can get it done on Monday. Between getting all of these requirements done, finalizing my loan, and getting ready to move, I'm feeling overwhelmed! Also, during my interview I was recommended to look into Allentown and Bethlehem for housing. I found my apartment in Allentown and the rent is pretty cheap compared to North Jersey anyways. I know that Center Valley and Hellertown, which are closer to the school, are more expensive.
  14. Hello! I'm beginning an ABSN program in May and although I'm excited, have no idea how to prepare mysellf. The only adjustment I've made so far is to pick up a part-time job in addition to my full-time to save up some money. (I plan on resigning from both jobs when the program starts.) What should I be reviewing as far as coursework tho? Or terminology? Any help would be appreciated guys! =)
  15. Yes, I'll be attending! Even tho it starts all the way in May I'm already excited :-) Btw, congrats!! Have you decided?
  16. Hello! Didn't see another thread for this program and was wondering if anyone else has been accepted yet? Or if there are current/past students who know anything about the program. =)
  17. I called UMDNJ last Friday and they told me they are still reviewing my application :uhoh21: I did not think it would take them this long to get back to me... considering the fact that I applied in August and sent copies of the requested syllabi in October. I don't want to keep calling because I doubt that will speed up my application. At this point, I'm just hoping to be pushed to the Summer session if accepted because I would like to give my job a month's notice of my resignation...
  18. Why do people keep saying that about UMDNJ ABSN?... there are people who have the minimum requirements and still don't get in. Having the minimum requirements just means that you're an eligible candidate and they will consider your application. But at the end of the day, there are no guarantee "ins"... But definitely give it a try! Unless your school has a unique grading system your gpa shouldn't change on NursingCas. Best wishes!
  19. Ahhh ok. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully I hear something over the next few days, this wait is killing me lol.
  20. congrats skipp0519!! did you get an email from umdnj about your application before getting the letter?
  21. I'm in the same boat as you, I'm also applying to ABSN programs. I've been to several different information sessions and the recruiters always say the same thing: they don't recommend that we work because it will be a stressful situation. Especially, considering the fact that NJCU is a 12 mos program, compared to most programs that are 15mos long. If you decide to work while doing the program, be prepared to resign if things get too difficult. Best of luck to you!
  22. Yea you're right, most of the other schools do start in May and cost way more... I was just asking because I know of one school in particular that I also applied to, Desales University, that has less restrictions on the requirement and costs roughly 38k. Only thing is it is located in PA if you're willing to relocate. Either ways, whichever route you decide to take I wish you the best of luck! Don't give up on your dreams and stay encouraged. Thanks for the wishes!
  23. I'm sorry Marki's Mom. Did you look into other programs?
  24. thanks marki'smom for the info! that's good to know. hopefully they stay true to their word so i can be free of this anxiety lol.
  25. hey melbsnhope, i'm in the same boat as you. i applied in the beginning of august, still waiting. last time i called, i was told that they are waiting for one more "comment" on my application and then i will be notified, and afterwards get a letter. this wait is ridiculous though.. i was hoping to give my job a one month notification of resignation so i can start the program, but i don't know if that can happen now.... to those accepted to the newark campus, when is the first day of classes?
