  1. Just a few more days folks! **FINGERS CROSSED**
  2. I received my denial letter yesterday. Goes to show that even if you get accepted once before, doesn't necessarily mean you will again. Good luck to to those still waiting and kick ass in the program for those who have been accepted! Back to the drawing board for me! Take care and Happy Holidays.
  3. just called them again and they said they're sending out acceptance letters in waves, not all at once because they dont have the manpower to do it all at once. she said that you have two weeks from the day you receive the letter to do the intent to enroll/deposit. ahhhhh more waiting and i keep hearing different things!!
  4. i dont know if those are the facts, jc90 i got in for fall 2013 and we were told we wouldnt start clinicals until spring 2014. so if someone were to apply for fall 2014, they might even have a later starting date than spring 2015 for clinicals. when i applied for this spring 2014, i was told i'd be able to start clinicals in spring 2014 because thats what they told the cohort that got in for fall 2013. its really hard to get correct information when we're not hearing it from the top of the totem pole! just thought you should know
  5. Hi all. For those that are still waiting I called transfer admissions and they said we should be receiving word by this Friday. If we don't hear anything by then, call them on Monday to see what the hold ups about!
  6. Yay congrats guys! Do you live in the SF area
  7. When I was accepted last semester, it came in a 8x11 envelope. It should be the same but I'm not 100% sure
  8. It's supposed to be a mailed letter right? I wonder when they'll be sent out ... The waiting game begins
  9. I received an email today from them too, giving me an ID number and password. Like what someone else said, it just tells us when they received our documents. But it did change from being application in "progress" to reviewed application. So, I'm guessing our applications have been reviewed...and we should be hearing back soon?
  10. Does anyone know if we'd be starting clinicals this Spring (that's if we get in...)? Because I was told when I applied for Fall 2013 that clinicals wouldn't start until Spring 2014. But I'm wondering if its the same for those starting in Spring 2014 if they have to wait another semester before clinicals to start or if that cohort would have their clinicals at the beginning of the program
  11. Thanks guys. I'm still waiting on usf, I've been admitted before but turned down the offer because I had to wait a semester to start clinicals. So I reapplied, waiting for word and will probably hear back in December. If that doesn't follow through, I'll do an LVN program and do a bridge to bsn. What are your back up plans?
  12. Didn't get in guys, congrats to those that did. You all will do great.. Thanks to all the company while awaiting that dreadful email. Take care, happy holidays
  13. Hi to all those still anxiously waiting for some sort of email of acceptance (hopefully!) I spoke to someone in the office, and they said we should be receiving an email by the end of the business day today ...so by 5pm we should know. For those of us that have gmail, it is best if the junk/spam folders are checked because the smu system sometimes has issues with the gmail server. If we don't get an email today by 5pm, call tomorrow and they can help you sort things out - but since tomorrow is the day before thanksgiving, calling before 2pm is probably best because they might go home early. Yikes. All this waiting. Good luck to us!
  14. Ikalee, how do you know it's been reviewed? Lol sorry idk how to delete posts haha
  15. You guys I haven't heard anything either...no email in my inbox or in my spam. I'm so frustrated...this is crazy. Congrats to those who got in though, and still a congrats to those on the wait list--still better than a denial
  16. I really want to have hope that they'll let us know before Thanksgiving, but I won't count on it. I wonder if they'll extend the intent to enroll and deposit for those who get an acceptance the "first week of December" because that's due on 12/3 right?
  17. No special news. Yesterday I got a general message because I sent a counselor an email about when we'd find out and she said, yes decisions have been made and sent out, but they haven't all been sent out. The email also said there's no definite timeline that she can give us.. Basically it was no help at all but I guess it's important to all keep hope alive because not all decisions have been sent out yet... Ugh! I now have a pimple on my face from all the stress, I've named it Samuel Merritt
  18. Wow...that's crazy... Thanks for letting us know. Good luck to all of us still anxiously waiting
  19. Congrats everyone that's gotten an acceptance letter. I'm still waiting anxiously. I emailed the counselor in charge for the bsn program and she sent me a general email stating that there is a delay in getting back to us but there's no time line in when they'll be done (how is that even possible when the intent to enroll and deposit is due 11/28?) I don't know. Hopefully they get back to us soon. I'm going mad waiting for the results
  20. Yeah I'm not sure. Don't quote me on that, but when I met with the counselor after I got denied for fall 2013 to see what I can improve on, she said they accepted ten transfer students and I asked her how many she thinks they'll accept in the spring, and i swear she said sixteen because I remember hearing they let "more" people in for the spring. But It also does depend on how many sister school students decide to finish their 2+2 at smu and not at another sister school
