My close friend is a Jeff State graduate and starting in the ER @ UAB on Aug 1st. She said she had always heard that UAB does not prefer to hire ADN nurses (which she is) but a friend pulled a few strings for her and got her an interview and she got the job that day! She also told me to do your preceptorship where you want to work since they are more likely to hire you after that.

Ok ladies - I am in the night and weekend program I and didn’t receive any type of calculations sheet in my orientation packet or through email… A friend of mine is also in the night and weekend program and she said she didn’t get anything either. Can you tell me what it is? Maybe it's just for the day prog? I'm kinda freaking out cause I didn't get anything! Also, what other books were listed that are needed for 1st semester n/w program other than the Calculate with Confidence and Pharmacology and the Nursing Process and the Health Assesment book? I just went by the books that were listed on the bookstore website.
