Santa Ana, Palomar College, Rio Hondo ADN Spring 2014
How hard is it to get into palomar? I'm applying for the spring 2015 and hoping I get in. I have bachelors, 100+volunteer hours, and all recent prerequisites with 3.8 gpa, but just real nervous about TEAS test. Any tips and or advice is greatly appreciated.

Riverside Community College Nursing Spring 2014
I want to apply for RCC's nursing program. Just wanted to know how do they calculate for the pre-requisites. I took some of them over to improve the grade and also for recency issues, does anyone know how they calculate those grades? Also, if you didn't take the pre-requisites there, you have to go to a counselor to get them evaluated? Any information would be great!

Southern California ADN/ABSN/ELM programs
Hello everyone, just posting here because honestly I am very discourage about life right now. I would really like to become a RN. I already have my bachelor's degree but did not finish off at a great gpa lower than 3.0 more like a 2.5. I know, horrible, but I was younger and had other issues that seemed more important. At this rate, I was thinking about applying to the community colleges in so-cal mainly grossmont and maybe miracosta. I am actually hoping for grossmont. I have proficiency in another language, volunteer experience, and bachelors..I was wondering if you have any tips, I am retaking my pre-req courses in order to meet the recency issue hopefully this semester or next and will be taking the TEAS, please any hopeful advice would be great. Other options also. PLLLEEAAAAAASE~

Accelerated BSN programs in California
Hello! I've posted something similar in other forums but NEVER GOT A REPLY... Anyways, I am living currently in the San diego area and going back to a cc this upcoming fall semester to finish pre-reqs I will be taking 4 this round and then 3 the next round. Anybody have suggestions on which nursing schools are looking at the overall gpa rather than the gpa from the previous degree? I did not do to well because honestly I just wanted to finish. I intend to volunteer at Sharp and other volunteer programs as much as I can and work as well in order to keep money flow (that is if I get a job in this economy). Any other suggestions on what else I could do to look somewhat different than all the 489309238402983432 people who will be applying with me ???? I would like to stay here in California but if there are other schools please do not hesitate to mention them please!!!!!!

Accelerated BSN program vs. Tech schools (SoCal)
Seriously thank you for your post! I really needed this encouragement. I mean I have read SOOO many posts on how IMPOSSIBLE it is to get into a acc. bsn program here in california and it has been discouraging. I didn't graduate from the best university with the best gpa but I am seriously wanting to become an RN. Taking pre-reqs this semester and next. Hopefully I will get in somewhere when I apply..wish me luck all!

Hey! I couldn't just pass up this...I hope all is going well for you. Have you applied to any nursing schools recently? Let me know, I just got back into the country and with the economy it is out here in California, looks like going back to school is good SINCE I can't get a job. Let me know! It always helps to go through things together!:redpinkhe:nurse:
