DisneyRNMSN are you sure about the new MBA ? When I look at the new curriculum it has 6 OA's. This is the format I am told.

That's What I was afraid of. I pray the new changes are better,Keep me posted. I am a little afraid of the additional OA's. I have a terrible test anxiety but really want to get started and finished ASAP. I am wanting to transition away from bedside nursing. I currently work at the VA Hospital in inpatient Mental Health and really need a change. I figured the MBA will allow me to use my clinical background and advance my career.

Hi feartherzRN, I am considering the MBA program as well. I finished the BSN in January. I am having a hard time finding feedback or recent experiences since the new curriculum was implemented. Have you found any updated student experiences? For example, how fast are people progressing? How in tune are study materials with actual OA's ? Or are people having a hard time passing tests? I am concerned because I have seen some negative posts regarding the changes in the new BSN and MSN programs.

I am so glad it only has to be 6-8 pages long. I am defitely shooting for 6, lol. Sometimes writing can be a pain. The bright side is with writing, we don't have so much studying to do. Take care and Best wishes!!!

I understand, I wish she would have waived the discussion posts this week to allow extra writing time. They take so much extra time. I have to crunch down to get mine done, I have not made very much effort either. We can do this, Lets go !!!!

Only 2 weeks left, How is everyone holding up? For me, Cultural Diversity has been enjoyable but time consuming. I am doing great in both classes.I have really enjoyed starting this program. I am afraid to say that my journey may be ending. Due to changes in finacial aid/ loans , I no longer qualify for grants. This is going to push my completion time, way off. Not to mention, increase my student loan amounts.I am very disappointed, as 2 of the reasons that I chose this program was due to the accredidation and completion time. I hate to start over but I don't want to be in debt with student loans,nor do I want to be still trying to complete program in 2014. This is a real bomber !!!

Did you start the program at UTEP ? If so how is it?

Neither am I. The final paper requires alot. Our assignment this week is to decide on a topic and tell why you chose it. Also briefly discuss your expections in your research as well as how you plan to research topic. Thats an aweful lot especially when I have not had a whole lot of time to decide.

Those are not the intials of my teachers names. I guess we have different instructors. How are things going ? Week 1 for me took a little getting used to. But looks as though week 2 is going to be a little better. Classes are time consuming, but all in all, not so bad.

The discussion posts are time consuming especially with the assignments that are due on Sundays. We will have to keep each other motivated.

The research project is a doozy. God help us !!! We will have to get a jump start on that one. I also see that the the discussion posts are a little busy as well. I'm going to try to stay ahead as much as possible.This looks like a busy 8 weeks. Be encouraged, we got in and we will make it through. Take care...

Great Misty, happy to hear that you are getting started July 9th as well and starting with the same 2 courses as me. I can still only log into NR351, I guess they will fix the SOSC before schoool begins. I did atleast want to take a look at the Syllabus for that course. I hear that it's very time consuming but we can do it. Take care

My cultural diversity class is not showing up yet. Not sure what's going on with that..... We will be fine, online is always alot of busy work. Hopefully we can get an early start on our assignments and stay ahead as much as possible.
