  6. does dade medical college have an lpn-rn bridge program?
  7. I am attending SABER SCHOOL, this school is not that bad, yes it is kind of expensive but you dont have to spend 2 years making pre-requisites to attend the program, all you have to do is pass the teas exam, now they have the lpn and rn program and in the future they are going to have the rn bsn program. The school is not bad at all, and they help you and try to pass the students..It is an accredited school, i have some friends who have graduated from saber and are working in hospitals.

  10. today at school, i asked one of my classmates how did she studied, is she had any tricks she could share with me (she has traight A'S) .. the only thing she told me was that she used her photographic memory,,,,, i didnt want to ask anything more because she is kind of mean. But how can you use your photographic memory? i dont understand??? is the first time i heard this ;/
  11. is it normal to feel bad when other students in class get the information faster thatn me and have better critical thinking when testing?? i just feel sad that i know but not that much as others in my class, they have such a good criticaal thinking

  15. wow i loved your butterfly134, i have exams every monday, right now im doing respiratory care, nutrition, physical assesment and vital signs, i get really frustrated since in the beginning i wasnt focused enough in school so right now i feel really lost, like i know less than everyone in the class, but im trying to keep up, any advice for that

  17. Hi fellow nurses :) i have one questiong :) can you tell me how you did in nursing school?> was it hard for you? Did your life changed? Did you pass all day long studing? 18. Hi cbc1147 can you tell me where to apply for nursing scholarships because i have applied before and never been accepted, what am i doing wrong?
  19. im in the same situation, i wasnt accepted for the workforce fund , and financial aid pays too little, in top of that im not working and i have to pay the school 2000 before i graduate, havent been accepted to any scholarship, and didnt know about the state nurses student fund ( CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT IT ) i live in florida, where can i apply :) thank you
  20. there is a school im starting on agust, its called SABER , its on flagler, the lpn program is only 12 months and its 23,000 and the asn is 18 months and is 30,000. you should check it out.
  21. LuxAeternaRN : Thank you very much, what i started to do is drink coffee in the morning and sit infront of the class, im going over the book and notes before and after class, on monday i have a test on respiratory care and nutritions , any good website for that? i like to watch how things are done when it comes to learning. and thank you very much for helping me :) adagiotte: I was doing that, but the school noticed that students had the bank and changed all tests, by the way i wasn't really larning anything with banks.... Thank you very muchhh for answering :)
  22. MedChica: Thank you for answering, but im not really looking for people to judge me, no one is perrfect, and if i was in these only for the money, i wouldnt be asking for advice, i have been sttudying these week like crazy because i understand that im dealing with a patient's life, and i have been very irresponsible this past 7 months wich im trying to fix, dont judge me if you dont know me, when i wrote the question i was really upset and frustrated and if you have critical thinking you should know that when a person feels like sees everything bigger, and sorry for the bad english IM CUBAN , i've only been here 2 years. Thank you very much for understanding, but im not looking for the money, i like medicine, NO ONE IS PERFECT and i asked for help because i want to become a better nursing student... freshstart55: Thank you for your advice, that's what im doing, im going back to fundamentals everytime i feel lost, right now im stying Respiratory Care and Nutrition because i have a test on monday, im the kind of person that learns better when seen a video or an example so im going to youtube and google finding what i need to learn. Congratulations on passing the NCLEX :) and thank you so much for understanding me and not judging :) Nurse in the making2: Im talking about the Clinical Nursing Skills by Smith and the CRITICALL THINKING BOOK BY SAUNDERS :)
  23. nurse in teh making 2 thank you so much for your advice, and for telling me what you do on studying, right now our school extended our foundations of pharmacology because the entire class was lost due to poor teaching by the teacher, im going to study more, the book that i have is the saunders book.
  24. thank you very much for taking your time and answering, im not really cheating but i feel like im cheating because once im done with my test i forget about everything and i dont really pass with high scores, i meant cheating in a way that i only study what is exactly going on the test, and i want to be able to critically think about the clinical situations im so frustruated. Right now im in foundations of pharmacology
  25. Hi, i wanted to know if its only me, i loveee being in nursing school , and i can't wait to start con clinicals which i start next month, but there is something bothering me... I can't concentrate in class i dont know why, i think i haven't learned a thing in 7 months in nursing school, dont get me wrong i have learn simple things but not enough. I am really lost, like if i dont cheat on tests i wont pass the exam, and its rediculous because i love medicine, and i am really smart actually, but i just dont get anything, i dont understand, everything seems so difficult, please help me, tell me how to study, how to learn things, be open minded and ready for the clinicals, i want to learn , i really ewant to learn, i feel so dumb like if i dont know anything, am i the only one? i dont want to cheat i want to be able to pass the exams on my own, another thing is that i have the mental health ATI at the end of this month and im so scared that im not going to pass it. By the way my every monday exam are all based on critical thinking and they are really hard. Please help me and dont judge me . Sorry for the bad spelling...
