I did my Preceptorship at Long Beach Memorial and when I inquired about their New Grad program they told me that they would ONLY accept New Grads from CSULB and Long Beach City College...I believe they have a contract with those schools. As for other South Bay Hospitals...Torrance Memorial has 12 New Grad positions for the 8/22 start date that they posted for 1 week on-line and they received over 300 applications. Little Company of Mary nurse recruiter told me that they aren't having a New Grad program this year, but a few departments may consider hiring a New Grad, but most likely those that will be hired as New Grads are already employees working as Nurse Techs and such.
