  1. Going through some similar stuff. I had some issues with my preceptor just because we butt heads, I really liked my preceptor but the way we communicated and the way she read me wasn't good for either of us. Leadership (aka orientation manager) spent two days with me to check my practice, and yeah she helped me, but she, at the end was like "you're fine, you're on task and working on time management." I had a meeting with my orientation manager, talked it out, and had a good cry. I'm a smart guy with a lot on his plate in regards to patient acuity (we all have a lot on our plate). Keep your head up! This is hard work and you'll get acclimated. If you need to change units, work on time management then you'll find yourself doing it. Go with the flow, keep your patients at the top of your list, and be well.
  2. Hey there, I'm about to graduate from the BSN program (Traditional). Good luck with everything. They are starting to implement iPads into the classroom and if you're highly opposed to taking tests on an iPad that'll be your life for the next two years. They have fine-tuned a lot of it. The program was great, professors are always available, and the Jefferson "family" is a good one.
  3. So, I have a paper to write and I am having a difficult time coming up with a topic to write about. I'll provide the prompt and perhaps I could get some ideas -- I'd be very grateful. It's a pretty general research topic but I find that I am better at topic ideas for other people as oppose to myself. Here's the prompt: Select an issue that impacts nursing and health care. Describe how the issue has impacted nursing practice. Describe how it has influenced or impacted the delivery of health care globally. P.S. Also, not looking for an answer to the questions just a topic idea. Thanks in advance!
  4. I wouldn't sell yourself short! You never know what'll happen. My friend got accepted late in the game for Thomas Jefferson, just stay positive and call their admissions office and check in.
  5. I'm sure that'll do just fine ^__^ Good luck to ya'!
  6. I have a 4.0 in my sciences and a 3.9 CUM

  9. Well, they sent an email in regards to making an appointment and I just gave them my availability. I have taken: A&P 1 and 2 Gen Chem Currently taking: Micro- 98 in the class I currently have a 3.9 my overall GPA, and my sciences are 4.0.
  10. I received an email yesterday for an interview with them!
  11. According to their website if you applied prior to today (November 1st) then you will receive notice AFTER January 1st, but I've heard rumors from friends that you'll get an interview and they'll tell you that you got in. -James
  12. Hey, I did as well, and now everything is in a ready to go!! Good luck! Where are you coming from? -James
  13. Hey, I recently applied to Thomas Jefferson for their Pre Licensure, and went through their NURSINGCAS website and such, and now I'm waiting to hear back. Has anyone received their Jefferson Supplemental Application? Thanks, Dibbadee
  14. Yeah, I'm looking at Binghamton University which seems to have a nice program and it's CHEAP compared to some of these CRAZY private schools. I talked to a bunch of nurses about school names and almost all of them said no one cares as long as you pass your boards. Anyway, that's just what I've been told. I have done stupid amounts of research on different schools and all seems to have the same thing going for them, minus the price. thanks for the advice!
