  1. Lizzidarden and petitea, I just sent it to both of you!
  2. Join the FB page! Let me PM you the link!
  3. Hi Peller13! They are pretty quick about accepting the request. The mods on the page are students, so they add us when they get a chance No one has received their packet yet, we'll probably get it around the end of November. I think we get the info. about the software either in the packer or orientation. On the other note: I applied and got accepted to both UTHSC and TWU. Like you, I heard from UTMB first, plus it was my top choice, so I accepted immediately and ended up just formally declining the other schools whenever I heard from them. I've been lucky enough to meet students from UTMB at my local coffee shop and they really love the college and say the professors actually care for the students. So, it concreted even more that UTMB was the right choice! Congrats BTW!
  4. I'm so sorry awe009! I hope you will apply again or at least applied to other schools. Good Luck to you and all your endeavors.
  5. :(Please do! I hope to see you in Fall 2013! Take care.Edit: or Summer 2013 for the accelerated track!
  6. No, it's okay. I'm going to UTMB. The commute is easier for me where I live and they gave me a scholarship. Plus, I've made some connections with students currently attending, and I really like them. But I will say, one of my best friends is an alumni from UTHSC and she loved it. So, it wasn't a super easy decision, but I'm happy that I've was fortunate enough to have a decision. I have friends that have been rejected from all of their choices.
  7. Hi all, I've turned down my acceptance, so those who are waiting or possibly wait listed, I hope it opens a seat for you. Best of luck!
  8. Yah, I think the waitlist is still really good! I'm pretty sure That when people turn down UTMB, they turn to the wait list to fill the spot.
  9. Thanks for that. Websites seemed to not be updated yet. They actually improved greatly, they were ranked #64 in 2011. That's a great improvement. Good for them.
  10. I've actually already been accepted. :) I guess I just have an inquisitive mind about how things works, process...etc. Thanks for the information and clearing that up for me. It makes a lot more sense, and will be helpful for others that are waiting, I'm sure.
  11. Early acceptance. Is that usual?
  12. Yup, Yup.
  13. I didn't mean that they interviewed everyone before. I was on break and was trying to respond while people were talking to me. From what I understand, in previous semesters people are either denied or asked to interview. Then after they are interviewed, they are either denied, waitlisted or accepted. But it didn't happen like that this time. For whatever reason, only few are being interviewed, but most aren't.
  14. So, your saying there is a method to this madness? From what I have researched there is a pretty good retention rate at this school, so I believe in what you say about them actually caring about their students. They must be doing something right. In reading over other threads for UTMB, it seems that some of the people that were "last minute call-ins" had atleast already heard that they were waitlisted, but since people don't show up to orientation, spots opened up, and they get a chance to start ASAP. Last year around this time it looks like people were still waiting on to be asked to interview...and then waiting again. My guess is since they can't interview everyone as before, they've got a lot more to discuss and conteplate before making a final decision about each student...?
  15. May I ask where you were able to find this information, I would be interested in their methodology.
  16. Hey, I am in your pathophysiology class! I sit in the row in front of you on the right side.
  17. Are you thinking of COMMUTING?
  18. Will Do. Congrats!
  19. I wonder why they don't look all applications first, narrow it down, and then tell everyone yay/nay/waitlist all at once? I would hate for them to miss out on awesome students just because they came in at the end of the pack and they choose elsewhere. I guess if they did that, we all wouldn't know until December, and who knows how many people would have already accepted elsewhere... I guess there is no perfect way do these things.
  20. Congrats to you! Need a link to the FB group?
  21. If they do end up leaving you hanging until the last minute, you can always crash on my couch. :) That is, if I have an apartment by then, AND if your aren't allergic to cats :/ You got interviewed, right? I can't believe you haven't heard anything yet.
  22. I understand that they have tons of applications, but lets say someone does find out mid-december, that gives very little time to do all that they ask by orientation. Not to mention it's during the holidays....
  23. Say What? So sorry that some of you guys are still waiting to hear back.
  24. Sent! And Congrats BTW :)
  25. Can someone be kind enough to PM the link to the Facebook page. Thank you in advance. Edit: Nevermind, I found it :)
