  1. A few days ago, working as a PCT in an ER I witnessed the triage nurse inserting several IVs without cleaning the pt's site and/or using gloves. I was outraged, but unfourtunately, I did not report it or say anything out of fear (I know, I should have) What would you do now?
  2. I didn't end up getting to go, I had to work Anyone willing to give a wrap-up of what they talked about?
  3. Is anyone else planning on commuting?
  4. I sent in all of my materials last Friday. I'm not sure how they calculated my GPA, but I believe it's around a 3.5, and my TEAS was an 84. However, I believe that my volunteer experience probably helped significantly. I worked through Egleston's college volunteer program as well as for CHOA as a camp counselor last summer.
  5. Got my acceptance letter yesterday! Hope to see some of you next Fall!
  6. I just finished applying! My TEAS was an 84.
  7. Yes, in general, a TB test is good for 1 year but different programs have different requirements, of course.
  8. I do know that you have to have at least a week between the titer and TB test, so plan accordingly. And many places (like mine) will require two TB tests.
  9. I am a transfer from Berry College, and as was your experience, a C in this Biology was one of the highest grades.
  10. Unfortunately, I have been told by the advisor that the policy only applies to courses taken at GSU.
  11. I'm going to be enrolled in Math Modeling, Bio 2, Anatomy 1, Speech, and History. I still have some basic gen eds to complete after that, along with Anatomy 2. I was thinking about taking the TEAS in September, for ACE. My plan is to apply for fall, and if I dont get in, retake my Bio 1 (I made a C, though at a more difficult college, I'm a transfer) and whatever else I need. I feel worried that I wont be able to get in mostly.. but I would be very excited if I did!
  12. I was wondering if anyone else here was going to apply for GSU's nursing program (ACE or regular) for Fall 2012?
  13. I am incredibly excited, and nervous. (I'm planning on applying for Fall 2012). My only worry is that I have a "C" for Bio 1, but I did go to a difficult school previous to GA state and I'm hoping that will go into consideration.
