I agree with punkydoodles - I applied one day before deadline (I know- cutting it close!) and made it in. I would like to think it had something to do with my application essay - as I spent days and days writing it - but I honestly don't know how they do what they do either. But silver lining is you got into TWU- congrats!

How did your BACC2 program go? I am about to start in January!

I just got into UTMB BACC2 and I am soo excited to start in Jan!

What is the typical timeline after finishing clinicals to taking NCLEX to getting license and a job?

When I was down there driving around lost.. someone mentioned a red building.... either "big red" or "old red"?? can someone enlighten me on this?

okay good to know! I still haven't gotten an email but I did accept on MyStar... so I am going to consider myself accepted until someone tells me otherwise... YAY!

What did you find out? I went to my mystar account and ACCEPTED admission too- then my hear sank as my account said "incomplete" afterwards!!

Amanda- I am (hopefully) going to move down from the North Dallas/Frisco area - if you want to go halfsies and use part of the moving truck- it can definitely be arranged! Plus- if you want to meet up for lunch or something before the move- I am up for that too!

When did you interview? Are you for BACC2?

Interview went well- they asked me a question about sugar and taxes that I didn't expect- but other than that, things went well! After going down there and looking at housing- living by myself is going to be a little steep! 1 bed places around campus start in the $750/mo range! Is there anyone that is looking to share a place? I would prefer my rent to be in the $300-500/mo range.

Thank you for the interview questions! Also- what are the housing options? I am looking for an apartment or condo to live alone or with a room mate! I would love some good apartment names to check out while I am down there Thursday!

This week has gone by so slowly- and no interview invites! How is everyone else holding up? I am taking microbiology right now- so I stay very busy- but all of this studying would soo be worth it if I would hear back from UTMB!

I just used the ATI study guide and did okay for myself. I used the pre-tests available and then brushed up on the subjects that I was clearly still fuzzy on. The most important thing to do is not to psych yourself out- everything on the TEAS, you will have seen before- the trick is just getting it back out!

I haven't heard anything yet... How did you get it in writing that your application was complete? I just got verbal confirmation.

I was told that they wont even finish reviewing applications until the end of July...

I am really interested in what you do- I have worked in ERs for a few years and my favorite department by far working was in a Level I! Can you elaborate more on your position and what experience/credentials are needed? I know I may change my mind later- but a girl can dream!

Everywhere I look- I find "We are not accepting applications from new graduates at this time" Did you find work in an urban, suburban, or rural area?

I am about to start nursing school and I cannot seem to find any information about what I can do post-grad. What will be my options once I graduate with a BSN? Will I be able to go straight into working in the ER, or do I need experience?
