  1. Maroon pants, gray polo, and white jacket or vest. And don't forget the awful white shoes! *rolls eyes*
  2. There must be one in every class...I know one as well! She just loved to brag about being a CNA and her ride-along experience with her local EMS and throw around medical terms she thought she knew. When it came to our first skills check-off she failed. What did she fail? PULSE. But...she's a CNA. Lucky for me, I have several in my class. You eventually learn to roll your eyes and move on. *sigh*
  3. Just like everyone else has said, these feelings are completely normal! I was very anxious about my first semester too! Don't let yourself get overwhelmed! The semester does require a lot of hard work, but it is extremely fun! (I honestly wasn't expecting it to be really hands-on and actual 'nursing' activities, but I was WRONG! ) I LOVED my fundamentals class! In my program we use the fundamentals book throughout the entire program, so don't let that get you down. Take a break and enjoy your summer, you don't have too many left! :)
  4. @Jessicas85, Indeed I am! Congratulations on getting accepted!
  5. IMO, this is one of the hardest things about nursing school! One of my better friends didn't pass the pre-nursing classes, and while I was sad for her, I didn't want it to affect our friendship. Unfortunately...it did. I think that she felt embarrassed that she didn't pass. Ultimately, you just have to do what you have to do! True friends would be right beside you cheering you on!
  6. This wait is SUCH a killer! Rumor around our 'group' is that we probably won't find out until the last week of July! Our applications were due at the end of March. Such a fun summer vacation, spending my time freaking out!
