  1. Tantei replied to jl95's topic in Nursing Career
Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) is the new name for NLNAC.
  2. Try checking BreEZe. There is a chance, considering it has been 2 weeks at this point.
  3. If I recall, you can check BreEZe to see if you have an RN license. If you took the PN, hang in there.
  4. Your ID only has to match your first and last name as stated here.
  5. You can try K-Swiss, which are leather sneakers. There are a few varieties; all of which are white.
  6. Traditional Fall '11 had a total of 151 cohorts, which later shrunk to 144 after a few declined their acceptance. Judging from the amount of available seats, there seems to be 142 for Traditional Fall '12. The number can, and will most likely, change within the next 4 weeks. Do not be surprised if the acceptance letters are delayed. Summer '12 is one busy semester since OB, Psych, and Community-Based are all done within a 12-week period.
  7. For this Spring 2012 session, there are at least 35 seats from what I understand. This number could increase or decrease with time as the program heads tend to switch the numbers here and there. For example, the Traditional program for the Fall 2011 class had around 140 students to start; however, it increased to around 155. It later dropped to about 130 students during the first four weeks.
  8. For those waiting, it will most likely depend on where you reside. Considering the GPA alone, each of you ranks a bit higher than others who have been accepted in the past and in the present. Good luck, and I hope each of you the very best! From what I recall, there were 150+ applicants for this upcoming Fall 2011 session, at least for the Traditional program. I also believe there are 144 seats available, but adjustments can be made to accept more students. I might be mistaken on what I add next, but there is no actual waiting list for the college. If anything, I suppose you could call the seats from people who decline the offer for personal reasons a waiting list. Just a side note: Momentum 2+1 had less than 50 applicants when I asked early in May, but there is a high chance it has increased due to graduating high school students or other applicants. Immunizations are the usual set, consisting of: MMR Varicella Hepatitis B Diphtheria and Tetorifice Tuberculosis Skin Test (If positive, get a chest x-ray done and be read negative.) A typical drug test can be read in two days time or so, but the background check might take a little longer. CPR classes are long periods of time, but it is quite basic. You just need a good attention span to last 5-6 hours.
  9. First off, congratulations! BIO141 & BIO142 The only prerequisite required is ENG111. You do not need a year of chemistry (CHM111 & CHM112) as it is reserved for BIO205. You also need two of either: BIO 101, 102, 110, 120, 141, or 142 for BIO205. Drug Test/Background Check Information While it is technically not attached, the information should be available on Blackboard at a later date. The organization tab will cover a good portion of the questions being asked, but I do understand the confusion as the letter does state: "Directions for ordering the background check and drug screening test are attached." Class Browse/Catalog There is a way to check for classes this upcoming Fall 2011. These classes should be, for the most part, final in terms of dates and times. All courses last from August 22, 2011 to December 19, 2011. NUR111 (Lecture) Monday 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm NUR111 (Lab) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday (1) 8:00 am - 11:00 am (2) 11:30 am - 2:30 pm (3) 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm NUR150 Monday 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm Tuesday 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Thursday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Friday 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Unfortunately, I cannot help with the clinical as they are chosen by the professors teaching the courses. For what it seems, however, they are: Tuesday or Wednesday, ranging from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. If you would like to check it for yourself, it is located on SIS. Just make sure you search for Fall 2011 classes, not Summer 2011. As covered in the letter, these classes will not be available for sign-up until August 18 at 10 am, so be ready at that time to get the one you like. Have a back-up as well just in case you are too late to add it. Hope this helps ease the search and congratulations once more!
