You might want to take a look at the book, (Erickson, H. 2010). Exploring the interface between the philosophy and discipline of holistic nursing: Modeling and role-modeling at work. You can find it new at unicornsunlimitedbooks.com and sometimes used at amazon.com. The front section discusses some of the issues you are addressing. Check out ahncc.org for information about certification as a holistic nurse, and vote for nurse coaching. They are interested in your comments.

If you are still interested in becoming a Nurse Coach you might check Barbara Dossey's program, or Linda Bark, or many others who are teaching nurses how to manage this important, emerging role in nursing. You might also go to the holist nurses' certification corporation (ahncc.org) and vote on their poll. They are trying to establish nursing's interest in coaching.
