  1. Hello Annie, Here are some website that may be useful on your research of Quantitative Research: a short article from AORN (Association of Operating Room Nurses) Journal on judging/evaluation the finding of quantitative research: http://www.aorn.org/journal/2001/marrc.htm for an example of quantitative research: http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/publicat/cdic-mcc/18-3/d_e.html quantitative vs qualitative http://www.nova.edu/ssss/QR/QR8-1/labuschagne.html I also have two articles from Nephrology Nursing Journal that I can send you via email or fax, if you like, on the topic of quantitative research. (They are in .pdf format and I didn't know how to attach it to this message) Please let me know if these links do not help you and I will be glad to help you find the information that you need. Kind regards, Librarian
  2. Begalli, thanks so much for the feedback! I've just put it on the list for my next book order. Would you know of any good critical care med book too? A very kind and generous donor just alotted money for our RNs and I want to make sure that our critical care nursing staff has a good selection of med books. Any and all feedback is truly appreciated. Thank you very much, again, for your help! Please let me know if you ever need research help! I will be very glad to help! :)
  3. Hello! I'm not a nurse, but I'm a medical librarian. Please feel free to ask your local college/public/hospital librarian which databases you can use to access nursing info. CINAHL is a good source, as someone mentioned. Some databases will have fulltext articles available for you. If you can only find the citation of an article, but not the fulltext of it, please do ask the librarian there, as they can order it for you through an inter-library loan. Most places don't charge a fee for this service, especially hospital libraries. Please let me know if you have any more questions on research and I will try to help. :)
  4. Hello dear ICU Nurses, Please excuse me for invading your space, but I am a new medical librarian and have found your discussions a *treasure trove* for sources of critical care information. I am trying to serve our ICU with the best information possible, so I truly appreciate your discussions. Would anyone know of a good IV med book that is appropriate for the ICU/critical care setting? I have found Gahart's IV Medications, but was wondering if there was another, preferred source. Our ICU nurse manager was looking for one which is not in the "pocket manual" style. Any and all advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated! :) Thank you!
